One step at a time, one day at a time, one moment at a time. Thinking that 'this too shall pass'. Nothing remains the same. All things must change.
Challenging situations can arise out of the blue with not warning. Just cope the best way you can until things level out. & they will level out. Remember you are not given a burden you can not handle, it says this in the Bible. For each & every one is going to make you stronger in the long run. Make you a stronger person, you just have to persever.
Take time for yourself to journal, meditate, pray or organize your thoughts & feelings. If you journal sometimes things aren't as bad as they seem.
Depression is difficult to get through by yourself. Seek professional help if necessary. Medications can help & can make all the difference in the world.

Sometimes I have to take it minute by minute. I watch television even if it is shows I have never seen. I don't watch the news or anything sad. It keeps my mind occupied (literally stimulates your sight and hearing senses. I watch until my eyes are hurting or my mind tells me that is enough. I guess some call that "vegging out". I usually end up doing that at night. I only feel better in the sense that I made it through an hour, two hours, half the night and then get to fall asleep. Sorry that I can't help with advice on how to feel better. I am still trying to figure that out myself.

When I had a lot of worry and stress in my life, I changed jobs. Granted, I had to take a substantial paycut, but my commute is shorter and the job is a lot easier. It gives me more time to spend with my family and friends and I don't spend every waking hour worrying about what I didn't get done at work.

Start writing a daily journal- sometimes getting all your thoughts and feelings out can be very healing. I used to fill up legal pads with my rambling and then throw them away- I loved throwing away my troubles!

I pray, I pray and I pray...I get the strength I need, knowing that it is in God's hands, and that no matter what I want to do, I must let Them handle it, for God and Jesus, always know best...
