you gotta relax! the more you think about food and get worked up, the more you starve and binge. Eating breakfast will not make you loose weight, as you'll only eat more later on coz your starving, as you have already seen! Never deny yourself anything, just have treats in moderation, and eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg and excersice moderatly. A healthy attitude towards food is way more important than dieting. x

Well for starters think positive. Everything you do is so much easier with a positive attitude. Also if you think that food is making you fat then eat as normal but exercise a little.

Make a healthy eating plan. Plan out what you are going to eat each day and then you can (add up calories if you really wanted) and exercise every morning and afternoon or whenever you want. Just don't look at the scales and think ooh i'm not 6 stone. If you do realistically think you are overweight then aim to become a healthy weight.

Try asking a friend to help you plan out a meal and exercise together. Also feeling overweight can have something to do with low self esteemor lack of confidence, so when you wake up on a morning, say into the mirror positive things about your self, such as. You are a pretty, intelligent confident woman.

If you are still really worried (and I mean really) then you can always see a doctor and see if it is maybe a prolem you have but this is as a last resort.

Some of the answers on here are scary - why are people giving diet advice when this obviously a mental problem, not a food problem!

Yes, you have an eating disorder. Eating less food is not going to help it - I have an anorexic friend and even when she eats nothing more than a piece of bread she feels like a pig. It doesn't matter how skinny she gets, she sees fat when she looks in the mirror.

Get help. And not from Yahoo Answers, there are too many idiots on here. Consult a doctor - they're there to help. You need to have a chat with a counsellor to find out why you're feeling like this and how to STOP feeling like this, because it isn't healthy! Even if you were overweight, skipping meals then binging is NOT the way to approach it!!

Im going for a yes in this case thinking about food all day isn't healthy if you can't do it by yourself get some professional help just think skipping breakfast is pointless if your just going to make up for it later simple fact is the longer you put off having food increases the amount you eat later so eat often and you won't have to binge

Eat a little something for breakfast like oatmeal that will fill you up. It will help with the binges.
You don't have an eating disorder yet, but are very close too.
Talk to someone you trust. An adult would be best, but if you don't feel comfortable talk to a trusted friend who won't talk bad about you, but will encourage you and help hold you accountable to eat.
Good luck :-)

Breakfast will start your day with a boost to your metabolism, and stop that binge by lunchtime coz you wont be ravenous.

The medicals and diet counsellors all say breakfast is important.

If you can plan your lunch too by taking it with you instead of buying stuff out, planning ahead and even taking no spare cash with you if temptation is too bad to buy junk food, this will win your inner battle if you want it to.

First of all, if you try to throw food back up regardless of whether it works or not, is a sign of an eating disorder. You need to seek some medical help now before you get sucked in to it. Anorexia and bulimia are never the answer to anyone's weight problem, because eventually it will kill you.

I dont think that you are doing any harm at the currant level of munching that you are doing now because like you i dont eat breakfast and only something small for lunch... but my evening meal is deemed fit for a king... plus health guidelines state that a women is supposed to eat 2000 cals per day and a man 2500 cals per day...

it sounds like you're developing a form of bulemia. not the kind were you throw up but the kind were to fast to burn calories from a binge. it is not healthy and i suggest you try to get help as you could seriously do damage to yourself. in the meantime try to eat a balanced breakfast and spread your calories out over the course of the day. good luck!

Try a cereal bar for breakfast with a piece of fruit and 250ml of skimmed milk.

For lunch try eating a low cal sandwich with a packet of those baked crisps that taste as good as they sound with a low cal bar of crap, a pint of cider and a piece of fruit.

For dinner eat nothing cooked because that adds calories to your meal, why not a bowl of muesli with skimmed milk or water?
