It's interesting that people who don't have it are answering and they always seem to "know someone."
Here's the deal - yes you can get it done in a tattoo studio, IF that studio offers it - I have a studio and two of us do the cosmetic work. Cost varies so check around - expect to pay at least $300 and come back for at least one touch up visit. Generally consultations are free. Be very sure of what you want since it is your face. I love my eyeliner - one of the best things I have done out of all my tattoos.
The eyes do swell a bit so they can't be worked too long. Be sure the person doing them has lots of experience and you see photos of THEIR work, not stock purchased albums.

Our most famous attraction is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. It's kind of a museum/zoo. It's a cool place to go, it's mostly outside and you can see lots of animals that live here in the desert. They have a Raptor free flight demonstration twice a day. ( owls, ravens and hawks doing a show ). Mt Lemmon is a very scenic drive up the Catalina Mnts. Lots of places to take beautiful pictures. It will probably be cold up there in winter. You might even see some snow, there is a ski resort up there. Nogalas Mexico is only an hour or so away, you can drive down there, walk over the border without a passport and go shopping. There is also tons of shopping here. 4th ave down by the University has alot of funky shops and restaurants and bars. It's fun to hang out there. There is so much to do and see, I can't name them all. When you get here, get an attractions booklet from the airport or hotels have them too and check it out. Hope you have a good time, the weather should be nice for you.

RE:
Tattoo eye liner. What is the process and pain factor? Any suggestions for Tucson, AZ?
So if you have tattoo make up.. how did it go? did it turn out the way you envisioned? What did you get done and about how much did you pay? Please share as much info as you can with me about tattoo make up. Any suggestion for places to go and what to look out for will be very helpful!
Thanks

Don't you hate it when you get people not answering your question and just giving you their views grr I hate that!
I do not have it done but have been looking into it and this is what I have found out~
The cost depends on what you have done, some tattoo places do do it you should look at before & after pics of the artists clients, they numb you a lil bit before doing the procedure, alot of people love it, if you google permanent makeup a bunch of stuff shows up.
From what I have read do it when you have nothing to do for 4 days cause you do swell a bit, and you do normally have to go get it touched up and most places offer this with the initial costs.
Hope that helped a bit

my grandmother had all that cosmetic tatooing done. She has her lips lined, her eye brows, and her eye liner. She loves it, because she is older now, and this way she always feels presentable ( as she calls it). She says it doesn't hurt as much as she thought it would. I know because she washes her face and just normal ware of the skin on your face that she does have to go for touch ups every few months, but not that often. I think is a wonderful thing. First of all, you can roll out a bed and already look nice..make up wise. Second, you dont have to worry about all that make up smudging or wearing off through the day. And lastly, you don't have to lug all that make up around. If I didn't enjoy playing with make-up i would so have it done!

I'm in this industry but the one place I would never touch is my face. I am also a trained paralegal and saw a few cases of facial tattoo make up done that went bad (people who were suing the tattoo artist). I just would not go there ever, and I know of some artists who won't tattoo on the face. If you do - make sure the person is VERY VERY experienced, preferably a friend would recommend them, and make sure the place is very sanitary.

A tattoo parlor is not where you go...you go to a Permanent Cosmetics technician. Look in the yellow pages for Cosmetic Services. I know a woman who does permanent cosmetics and electrolysis, but from what I've seen of before and after pictures the permanent cosmetics are only an enhancement. They still have to put their regular makeup over it.

I don't have it, but know someone who had it, and regretted it. It looked very unnatural. It was a defined line, looked really bad.
