I am asking because obviously, Marilyn was white and I am wondering if the tattoo artist can shade in her head, arms, and legs with a peach coloring to make her look her natural coloring or if I should leave it the same color as my skin????

I also want a Jessica Rabbit tattoo also.

What do you think?

Don't.
You are putting your faith into the hand of the artist. You will never know how it will come out, no matter how good they are. They don't know themselves. Don't chance it, and end up with bad colors. I have seen it. A black woman with a white face tattoo!!! not pretty.

You should know that a white person with a black face tattoos comes out differently when it comes the other way around. A person with a black skin has different issues, such as dryness, and discoloration, that white people don't experience the same way. Be careful.

I think you should get whatever it is you want. I would consult with the tattoo artist as to what color to fill the tattoo with. The artist is the best one to ask that sort of thing because it is their profession and they should have a lot of experience with tattoos and they should know the outcome of the tattoo before they even do it. Get whatever tattoo you want. If the tattoo artist is any good then he/she should be able to make it look good no matter what.

Unfortunately, tattoo ink doesn't work like paint, and as it is under the skin, the darker your skin tone, the darker the tattoo will be. On dark skin, normally, tattoos will only be done in black.

I think though, for the most accurate answer, you'd have to go to the tattoo artist that will be doing it and consul them.

i would color her natural color. okay your skin is black, but imho a marilyn tatoo wouldn't look any better or worse on a white skiinned person or black or w/e.

I woulnd't do marilyn even though she's considered a great role model for women having huge success in t he industry... a very respectable woman indeed.

Jessica Rabbit is one hot lil toon tart. that would be a cute tattoo for sure and i would put it on my lower back right side kinda along the bootycheeks, but it depends on what kinda build u have. and i would only do her with bunny ears.

Depending on your skin tone, I wouldnt get it unless you are fairly light. Darker skinned women with tattoos do not look good based on the tattoo color is not vivid but usually dark. However, its your body and you can do what you want. Do yourself a favor though and DONT get tattoos on your arms.

I thought I was the only one who wanted a Marilyn Monroe tat! I would just get it shaded in greys and black ~ she's a pinup girl and pinup girls look great shaded! Yeah, leave her as is.

I'm a firm believer in having a reason for getting a tattoo, not just because it's in style/cute or whatever.

But aside from my personal opinion, if you want it, don't let anyone deter you from getting it because it's your body and you're able to do whatever you'd like with it.
