I get this feeling in some of the responses I get when I answer someone's question or some of the respones I get from my own questions.

BTW, Jesus Christ is the man, but JC is my initials because I am the man! LoL Not really its just me having a false sense of self esteem.

Because, if you ask and answer intelligently, we know that you thought about it and didn't just shoot back with the "god is great" type of answer. We atheists (at least many of us) would much rather debate intelligently, and respect those that can handle it.

Maybe it is not that your fellow Christians do not like you. ( I, myself have no problem with you.) Some of us just come off too strong. I know that I do, sometimes. And even some Christians are uncomfortable with someone that comes off real strong and talks openly about their faith. Even a lot of Christians feel that religion should be private. So don't sweat it.
I, too, think that JC is the man!

i know what you mean. I feel the same way sometimes. I think the church has found so many points of division that there's no real sense of unity. So often i meet christians who don't believe i'm a "real" christian because i don't agree on every single little thing with them....
And the athiests often know what it's like to be treated poorly for their beliefs (because unfortunately christians and other religious people have treated tem that way) so they know better than to treat us poorly for ours.
Regardless of all this, we're called to love everybody. And jesus never promised that our trials and persecutions wouldn't come from within our own churches.

Maybe you have higher expectations of Christians than you do of atheists?
Just because someone doesn't do back-flips over you doesn't mean that they don't like you either. Show some grace to your brothers and sisters when they act differently than what you wanted them to.

With all respect for your beliefs, I used to be a christian myself, I found a lot of hypocrisy and bigotry among christians, I am sorry to say this , but I am being sincere,so what you are saying is not a surprise to me.

Maybe you want to be Atheist? Heck, there seems to be more "Freedom" in it. Yeah. You can practically do anything you want(Except kill) and not pay for it in the long run.
Don't believe the hype, it's a sequel.

Probably you are not an intolerant Christian... so you have one characteristic that atheists very much appreciate!
