These days people are consuming much of their quality time, staring at the computer screen especially while surfing the Internet. They often lose track of what priorities such as homework or household chores has to be done. Families ought to get together to discuss this matter of prolonged computer use

In the past, I lived with my 4 kids and wife, and five of the six of us shared one Internet connection. The kids tended to spend way more time than the adults did, but someone was on the connection nearly all the time. two of the kids moved out, the Internet connect had to be given up, and so far, we are surviving the loss. While some other recreational activities were being neglected, the kids also were playing a lot of video games, plus most of us read a lot, so there were lots of reason for the neglected responsibilities. We're all doing much better in the past few years, putting school work, house chores, etc. first (most of the time). Of course, that also means that much less time is spent corresponding with friends, answering questions here, etc.

I get distracted by the internet when I should be doing homework.
A time limit is a good idea actually.

my kids are definately number one on my list, they get taken care of if nothing else does. my homework is second, my school work gets done. kids and school work is a priority for me. im on the computer all day at work so when i get home, the last thing i want to see is a computer.

I don't think so. Computing and the Internet have revolutionised all our lives, enriched them, even, so I would say that you can't ever spend too much time on PCs.
