The best thing is to talk to your doctor. There are other medications and what works for one person may not work for another.

Deep breathing can be helpful for panic attacks, anxiety and depression; just take as a deep a breath as you can and then breathe out slowly until you empty your lungs as much as possible. This probably won't work as well as medication, but it does provide some relief.

Hi. Have you heard of The Linden Method or Panic Away? These are both programs that might work for you. Both the Linden Method and Panic Away are drug-free programs that have been effective for thousands of people in eliminating their panic attacks and the fear of it. The Linden Method is more for someone who learns by listening, while Panic Away is for someone who prefers reading material. They are both highly recommended. I'm including a couple of resources. I hope you have great luck with it. Cheers!

My friend tried the step-by-step techniques taught in this program and she told me that it is very effective to control her panic attacks. You can give the program a try.
