Allergic to fish! [but not shell fish] What other foods contain omega-3 fats like in salmon? If i were to take "fish oil" supplements, could i be allergic to that too? Is the "fish oil" supplements just as good as eating fish?

You can get a 'fish free' Omega 3 that is made from borage oil and 2 others but I can't remember what they are.

Fish oils are molecularly distilled oils so I would imagine if you are allergic to fish then you could very well be allergic to these.

go to a health food store and get the fish free version. Omega 3's are so essential and our diet just doesn't provide anywhere near enough.

if you are allergic to fish then you will be allergic to fish oil too....STAY AWAY ! The fish oil is just as good ,if not better, than eating the fish. Other sources of omega 3 are walnuts and flax seed oil.

I would supplement with either flax seed oil or hemp seed oil if you are allergic to fish. no point in risking a reaction by taking fish oil supps. both flax and hemp seed oil are excellent sources of omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids. you can get them online or at any health food store.
