I don't believe that was hypnotism as much as it was the power of the Holy Spirit convicting a person of sin. Even though the Holy Spirit was not flowing through that man, Gods Spirit is everywhere and can use any opportunity to speak to a persons heart. Obviously these people came because they were seeking truth and God will honor their desire in any and all circumstances. Many people find salvation in prisons and dying on the battlefield, many others find Gods truth through false religions and eventually come to know Christ Jesus. God can use any and all situations to bring a person to repentance. Look at Jeffrey Dahmer, it is reported while in prison, he recieved death threats constantly and before he was murdered he repented and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. God misses no opportunity to reach the lost. This man had nothing to do with any actual conversions, rather, he only succeeded in bringing these folks together in a forum where Gods Spirit could speak to each of them while their hearts and ears were open. God Bless You.

I am a skeptic of hypnotism but if it is possible for a person to control another persons mental ability through hypnosis, I would say that is not good. I want to always retain my full mental ability of my own. I want my thoughts and actions to be of my own. I think God would want the same for you too.

Would you let my pastor and my church welcome you into our Church, love you and pray for you until the Lord convicted your heart and you came weeping to the alters. Confessing your sins, crying out for his love and mercy, accepting him as your saviour? Living daily for Jesus Christ? Now that would be a miracle, and would be worth the cost of admission. Why play with trinkets of man when you can have the power of the Holy Ghost?
Dear Bettie- You'd rather be hypnotized than be loved? Wow...that's amazing you should write a book.

Hypnosis is a state of suggestibility, people can not be hypnotized to do something that they are not willing to do outside of hypnosis.

I was an atheist, been there, done that, was a wiccan, been there...was a mormon, I will take christianity, thanks. By the way I felt as a mormon that I was indoctrinated, mind controled and brainwashed, as and atheist and christian, i feel free, but as a christian I was still suicidal, and as a christian, I no longer feel the need to kill myself, so what can I say.

Someone who truly walks with the Lord would not be convinced otherwise. Once you have truly experienced a relationship with Jesus Christ, you never want to lose it.
