Hello all, I pray that you are doing well this morning.
For God has not given us a Spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
Have you thought about this, seriously?
First off, take the order of it. We know that the most important commandment is love, so why does it say power first?
Friends, I think that this is telling us that in order to do what God has commanded of us,we first need to exercise the power that He has given us. We have all the power over the enemy. God did not give us the SPIRIT OF TIMIDITY. As a matter of fact, He gave us the POWER TO DEFEAT OUR ENEMY, SATAN. After we exercise that power, we can go on to the next one, love. See, satan is going to do everything that he can to keep us from this one. Because he knows that this one is the one that shows Jesus to others.
By this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another. John 13:35
Friends, and then we come to discipline.

Friends, as disciples of Christ we must exercise discipline. How can others know that we are Christians and how can we effectively witness, if we do not show others the change that has occured in our own lives? And that is shown through discipline.

Brothers and Sisters, I bring this to your attention to remind you that we are not to be timid in our Christian lives. First, we have power.
I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them, nothing will injure you. Luke 10:19

Second, do not be too timid to love. If you feel that someone is needing something from you, do not think that you will offend them by your offering. Share yourself with others, for by doing so, Christ can shine through you.
Do not be too timid to say no, when the world would have you do something displeasing to God.
My dear friends, I love each and every one of you.
I was just think about this verse this morning as I was reading it and when I contemplated it, I realized that I had to share it.
I hope that you have been encouraged.
Not by me, but by God's Word.
Love, Cat

IS THIS A QUESTION?
I DO NOT BELIEVE SO.
IT IS PLAINLY PREACHING NONSENSE.
There is a little question hidden in there ... 'Have you thought about this, seriously?'
So, you deserve an answer to your one question.
The answer is yes and that is why I am an atheist.

Do take note that your god is a mere concept and does not actually exist. Surely you MUST feel rather silly knowing that.

Here's the problem I have all that! And don't get me wrong I love your "preaching" or "teaching" but where was the question? Really I am new to this site are there rules? Where was the question for real? Or do you just type whatever you feel? If that is the case why? Really? I mean I know you are full of the love but where is the message? I didn't even read a question. Still love you though really....

Yes. It's discipline I lack in the face of apostates, blasphemers, and misotheists.

God help us.
