Well you can't really rebel against something that isn't a part of your life.

She rebels against Christianity because that is the environment she lives in.

Do you rebel against communism?

She (like most people) was more of a rebel when she was younger. (Being a rebel doesn't necessarily mean you're "making fun" of anything either.) She rebelled against Catholicism in her younger days because it had a negative impact on her. At the same time, like it or not, the religion you grew up with still forms some kind of foundation within you. I think that's why she continues to take religion and spirituality so seriously. (She knew Catholicism wasn't right for her but she wanted to find something that she did believe in.) I haven't seen her "make fun" of any religion - Hinduism, Buddhism, Muslim. She's happy where she is, I suppose; she would have no reason to make fun of anyone else.

Addendum: I just saw your last comment. When did she make fun of Hindus? I doubt that. And she considers herself to be Jewish. (Kabballah, I don't know if I spelled it right, is a mystical branch of Judaism.)

double addendum: Oh. Well, the "Hindu" get-up she wore - I don't know, just because some people were offended doesn't mean she was "making fun" of the religion. (Believe me, there are always people who will get offended about something.) And I don't know about the ambassador thing...but certainly it shows she cares about the religion, not making fun of it.

Madonna has a good point on Christianity. I went through a lot of double standard, hypocritical, mean behavior from the way I was raised in the Catholic religion. I know they aren't ALL like that but ENOUGH of them are like that to annoy and harass us for not being as they want.

you saw what happened to the danish cartoonist who made that comic strip about the Muslim prophet Mohammad, most muslims are very sensitive about any insult to their religion, that's because many are quite devout, any insult to them would spark multiple protests, plus with the iraq war, being closely tied to the muslim religion and being quite the hot, political topic it is, the controversy she would spark will not be good since it would draw attention not only from the public but also from politicians, and i'm pretty sure you're familiar with what happens when politics becomes involved

I think she is over all that now days, I mean she is over 40 years old and a mother.

I really doubt she would, or should focus on Hurting people from a Muslim Background,

or any other back ground for that matter...

She's not done making fun of Judaism yet. When she is ready, she will start reading some Arabic Poetry, and claiming she is a Muslim.

Religion is not about making fun of anyone.

That's kind of dumb. Maddona's mere existence and lifestyle is a mockery of Islam. And christianity as well.

she's not a rebel, she just doesn't believe in the organized religion and has never made fun of a religion so why would she start now?

Is she 'rebeling' or has she seen and recognized the deviations from God's word (that DO EXISTS) and is acting according to God's word?
