you should first register with the state reunion registry, they also have an assisted search program than costs $400 that may help.

OR is an open records state that means the adoptee can reqest and receive his original birth certificate. Make sure to put an OK to contact letter in your file.
Check with all of the online adoption registries available.
Good luck

I would suggest using one of the sites online or other agencies where both mother and child can register to find each other. If both agree, and the child is over 18 (which yours obviously is), a meeting can be arranged. Some sites are free; some charge a small fee.
Good luck!

You can check the State Records for a child born on this date and follow up on that. You may not have rights to the information without having the mother assist you. You may can follow up with birth records in the hospitals where he was most likely born.
Remember, he may have a life with another step father and their may be a back lash of emotional problems if this is not handled properly. You have rights as the father, but with those rights comes the responsibility to the child and his well being and that well being is now connected to other people. Deal gently.
I would recommend a guidance counselor or a family health clinic to assist you in your quest.NV the Ancient One

start with the hospital or agency you used. I hope that you leave it open to him as to meet you. Maybe hire a private investigator. Have someone act as a go between. This can be some shocking stuff, your birth mother calling you up. Give him some time to prepare
