Wait a minute.... one of your answers has made it clear to me where God was. Thank you so much!! God was with the terrorists. Dam, why didn't I put this together before?
They were acting as agents from GOD. How else can you explain why they did this IN GOD'S name? Ok, thanks, now I know for sure why I am not a follower. And now I also know why I do not trust people who do believe in God. He's a nasty and vengeful. He's pissed off because we allow abortion, we took religion our of our schools so now he who is so almighty and powerful is using his power to show us just how pissed off he gets by killing 6000 people.
Yeah, this is someone I want in my life. NOT!

Cara.. You said "God did not create those events". I beg to differ. As I stated, the terrorists were doing this in GOD'S NAME. Explain that if you can please.

Where do you think he was? The question you want to ask is: Why did he allow that to happen. You might ask yourself another question: Where is God when little children die in Africa from malnutrition? How could God allow those kind of things to happen if he is all caring and good? I've asked myself the same questions and I think that I have a believable answer.
Imagine the world where everyone knows that God exists. I myself would never even dream of breaking any of his rules.
Imagine the other world where everyone is good. I ask you now would people there be "saints" because they are good or because they don't know anything other of being good.
In both versions we would be nothing more than robots and that is something God doesn't want nor do I. God gave us, angels to, a right of choice. We are the ones that are doing evil. Now the question is why doesn't God miraculously stop everyone that are even thinking of doing something wrong. The answer is simple: Because He is interested in our eternal life not the life on this Earth. I'd like to live in a world without suffering and that is why I live a life in hope of seeing my Savior one day. God does intervene but not always and I have enough experience with Him that I believe in His choices. Knowing the way He led me in the past I can be sure He's leading me to the best future I can have on this Earth and after. God be with you!

Are you asking why he did not prevent what occurred?
We are provided information of the ends times in the Book of Revelations...
Intelligence agencies had / have the knowledge of what was possibly going to happen but agencies did not share the information in a timely fashion...
arrogance prevented America from believing that anyone would do such an act of war with our own planes....
America has turned its back to God by ignoring God's laws...
Why would you expect God to help America on 9 /11 when America passes laws to murder babies....
When America removes the Ten Commandments from the school and the court house....
When American puts the almighty $ ahead of its fellow man....
When American businesses will not close for the Sabbath and spend one day of rest and worship with God....
Where was God on 9 / 11?
God was with the Hero's of flight 93...
God was with all the Hero's of that day....All who died were mercifully gone in an instant...
They instantly went asleep until the day of judgment....
In a sense, they became the fallen in the army of the Lord in this war against terrorism....
God has never left....man has put other things more important than his relationship with God.
Then when something bad happens wonders where God is?
In the back of the closet.... behind the play things, self interest things, I can do it myself things....
We, as a nation must bring our relationship with God out of the closet and start getting real and serious with things of true importance...
God Bless America can only be possible IF America Blesses God......

Did you heear about all the firemen, police and civilians that were safe in one staircase as the tower came down. If that is not a miracle then I don't know what is. God was there. If you ask that question, why don't you ask where was God when the tsunami hit Indonesia and killed over 160,000 people? You think that God causes these things but you are totally wrong. He allows them because of His mercy. He gives everyone a chance to turn to Him. The only reason this world continues is because He is waiting for more souls to be saved before it is too late.

This is the answer, believable (to you) or not:
God did not create those events, nor any other tragedies...therefore, they never happened. God only creates truth, and nothing else; only the truth is true.
We are doing this, individually, and as one; we form this that we call "The World", and forget we form it. It is our dream of separation from our Creator.
We remain whole, perfect, and complete, regardless the images we project and call real. We are God's Beloved, and we are free to create or to project (dream).
"Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God." --A Course In Miracles.

Have you ever heard the saying that Everything happens for a reason? Well, maybe this is the case for the 9/11 incident!
Maybe God allows certain things to happen to teach mankind certain lessons that they wouldn't normally learn otherwise, maybe this is God's way of getting man's immediate attention on matters that man has been avoiding for years.
Thank you,

You could ask that about any evil thing that has happened since sin came to adam and eve. God was here, crying with those that cried, rejoicing with those that rejoiced. Yes evil does happen and God does not promise us that bad things will not happen. We are actually told that there will be struggles and tribulations. Because of our faith in him we can overcome. We christians cried right along with the rest of the world, but there were also moments of happiness to. Like of the story we heard from one son whose father died in one of those buildings. This boy was talking to his father who couldn't get out, was trapped along with several co-workers and he began to pray and lead several of those people to the Lord. yes this son lost his father, but his hope is in Jesus that one day he will be with his father again in Heaven. The only guarantee that we have in this life is that one day we will all die. And one day we will all have to face an eternity.
Many ask why, but why did Hitler come and why was there a sunami, and why the Hurricane that hit along the gulf.
There are some things that we may never know. You can use any thing that happens to argue against God. But he will always be waiting with open arms to anyone who comes to him. Yes 9/11 was a terrible day in history, But it was also a day that many turned to God. Satan is allowed to roam free and the Bible tells us that he is like a lion. waiting and then destroying. And what satan meant for bad God will use for good. Many suffered that day. But many also found hope, and comfort that day.
I know many will say blame it on the Devil, easy out but evil is from satan, satan was thrown out of heaven along with his followers because of rebellion. And that is what he brings to the earth, despair, pain and confussion. But because of Jesus's death on the cross we don't have to live that way because our peace and comfort and hope is in him. And that day made us all look to him. Even non-believers, athiests, and any other religions we all looked up to Heaven. So where was God. Why don't you ask him through prayer. Get your Bible out and read.
you can ask this question for another 6 years but untill you
turn to God and ask him, where were you and why, you will never be satisfied with any answers. Some people use these kinds of tragedies to turn away from God. But those that know Jesus Christ will turn to him. Figure out your motives and then see if you need to ask this question again.

Oh, so you are one of those. Blaming God instead of who is truly responsible. Well, I guess I should be used to hearing it by now because there are so many of you who don't have a backbone anymore to stand up and admit when they are wrong. I just hope I am not in the same area you are when you are caught breaking a law, because I am sure you will try to blame me or someone else. I suppose that it was Gods fault for the hurricanes, tsunami's, earthquakes, car accidents, robberies, rapes, murders....should I go on? I think not. I will pray for you.

He was right where He always is, doing what He always does - respecting the God-given right of human beings to use their free will to make moral decisions, and to be fully responsible for the moral decisions they make. It's amazing how people personally use and enjoy this freedom, yet when someone uses that same freedom to choose a destructive behavior, they ask "why did God let this happen?". Well, why does God let YOUR sins happen?? Because you have free will, that's why. And that's why God lets other people's sins happen too. Because He must either aloow us to truly be free, or change the definition of "human", making us mere animals ruled by instinct, with no moral capacity. Free will would be meaningless if God said "I give you the power to freely choose good or evil, but whenever you choose evil, I'll jump in and make sure nobody gets hurt".

Non-believers won't believe any answer you give them but I will try to answer this anyway.
Firstly, (and tragically) 3,000 people died but it could have been far worse. Due to traffic jams, construction, etc., many people were late that day, so there were only few thousand present instead of tens of thousands. Some would attribute that to God.
Secondly, God does not promise an easy or even a happy life. Only a perfect eternity.

9/11 was really a pretty small catastrophe compared to many like the Holocaust, World wars, etc. God was the same place on 9/11 as He was during the great catastrophes. He is allowing man to see how sinful this world is and waiting for those who will, to come to Him for salvation from this world and the evil in it.
