Female domination is an evil spiritual force.
In I Corinthians 11:3, Ephesians 5:22-25, and Ephesians 6:1-3, the divine order for families is stated. The husband is the head, then the wife is second in command, with the children in obedience to them. When the woman seeks to usurp this authority and rule the home, HAVOC results and the home is left wide open for SATANIC attack.
"As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths" (Isaiah 3:12). In our land today, children are rebellious, causing strife in the homes, and women have become BOSSY and demanding. It is no wonder homes are falling apart. This type of spirit in a woman is a "Jezebel spirit." Just as JEZEBEL ruled her husband, King Ahab, in the Bible (I Kings 21:25), many women today are guilty of the same sin.

I agree! (But please don't tell my wife I said that!)
just kidding....
actually I do agree and I believe - and my wife believes - that there is dysfunction and chaos in a home - or a church - where women usurp authority over the men.
touchy subject, isn't it?
god bless

You go live in your cave with your dear Alley Oop, and let the rest of us work these things out between us and our partners. We can take care of our relationships without your judgment. The emancipation of women is a gift to men, women, children, and the whole of humanity. Every society in which women are educated and welcomed into full participation in society, the society has been enriched both materially and spiritually.
In the Baha'i Faith, one of the fundamental teachings is that men and women are equal, complementary, two wings of the bird of humanity. If one wing is weak, the bird cannot fly. Baha'u'llah proclaimed it in 1863 in Persia where it was even less politically correct than the West, and it has since been taken up by the world. The reason for differences in achievement in the past is due to lack of education, opportunity, and access and not to any inherent defect.
The ills of the world are far more complex than the relationships between men and women. Oh, that it were so simple as that. We are in the midst of a paradigm shift that is upsetting the equilibrium of the world. We are leaving the adolescence of nation-building and moving towards the maturity of humanity, unity of humanity on a planetary level. It's painful, difficult, earth-shaking, foundation busting, firmament rending. But it's coming, like it or not, and women will run neck and neck with men in every endeavor.

This is a perfect example of how the bible as a poorly compiled collection of primitive myths is woefully inadequate to helping people cope in the modern world. If people followed the dictates of the bible as the questioner wishes, women would be no different from slaves for they would exist only as the property of their fathers or husbands. Isn't it time we cast off these ridiculously archaic dogmas and primitive superstitions, and begin to think about our lives and the world at large rationally. Irrational beliefs serve only to enslave many people for the benefit of the few who control them. Every woman deserves to be free to think as she chooses and to be the master of her own destiny as she sees fit.

Apparently, the god of the bible had very little knowledge of equality or human rights. I will say that there are some people (males and females) that are not good leaders/decision makers but just being male does not make one automatically the best leader.
Many successful marriages are a team effort where each spouse specializes in given areas. For instance, my spouse has nearly free reign over clothing for the family (if I did it, we would be in rags...); we alternate taking care of bills and meal preparation. Probably, it could best be described as a team effort, and there is no real need for a "head".

My wife is my equal in every way. At the same time she submits to my authority out of respect. She does this because I devote everything I am to her. She knows that she comes first in all my decisions. She knows that I choose her over any other person (family, friends, anybody) She knows that I will die so that she may live. This is the way God designed marriage. Man is not supposed to have submissive woman in any other relationship nor does he deserve it in marriage if he doesn't submit to his wife. It is an awesome responsibility to be under Gods authority as a husband.

Well, you know what, I'd rather be a domineering jezebel than to sit idly by and let men pull some of the bullshit they do. I am nobody's doormat, and I *will* make somebody take responsibility for the way they treat me.

Listen honey, you can't just change your avatar and expect us to all listen to you now that you're pretending to be a woman. We all know who you are, as you've been saying the same exact thing since day one.
I never said I wanted to domineer over men, I don't think I know any women who do. What's so wrong with an equal partnership?
Love, your Jezebel.
