Sure, I'm a non-theistic eclectic Pagan.

I get lots of flack for that. But I've never experienced a deity, and it would be rude to worship without being asked. :P

And there are some paths which view the deities more as internal forces or archetypes.

But most Pagans are either pantheists or polytheists. (Or panentheists... A nice blend of the two.) A few animists, but those are usuall not in the neo-pagan category, more in the Eastern religion category, or Native American.

There are a few.

Buddhism, technically pagan and very much centred around nature and life, has no specified deity. There is a unifying force in Buddhism, but that's all it's ever seen as.

Animism, which is the core of religions such as Shinto and Wicca, is the belief that all things have a 'spirit' or 'essence,' and thus should be respected. No deity is required to be an animist (some Native American folk religions are a good example).

There are others, I know, but I would have to do more research before making any solid statements about them.

(Of course, you could always be a "pagan agnostic" - all the rites, but without the gods.)

Absolutely. There are several agnostic or atheistic pagans out there. Pantheism can also be considered without deity - since the root idea is that Nature is divine in and of itself.

The most basic form, animism, is atheistic. In a nutshell, animism is a belief in all natural things having a soul/spirit. However, there is no belief in any form of gods. The spirits are a natural part of the world. Some animists, myself included, believe in an immortal soul - usually together with reincarnation. Others, believe that the soul/spirit is a life force that dissipates on death.

Sure. I'm a Pagan Taoist. My spiritual philosophy is Taoist and I celebrate Celtic pagan holidays and use pagan symbols, but I view all deities as archetypes and symbols, and don't see them as real.

That would have to be some sort of neo-paganism though because old school pagans were polytheistic.

I guess pantheism would be close to atheist paganism though.
