I don't say that.

But the extremists are giving you a bad name, be mad at them not "us".

What would you expect someone who lives in the middle of a cornfield to think? They don't know you and your family, all they see is the bombs and the beheadings and the threats.

Just like all your countrymen see is the rich, and Hollywood and Britney Spears, that is not a true representation of the rest of us in America. Yet you think that is what we all are. I wish.

We need more of the true Muslims to come forward in peace and charity and counter balance the terror, then you might solve bigotry.

Peace to you.

For two reasons: First, just about every act of terrorism committed in the last 10 years has been done by a muslim acting in the name of his religion, and second, there have been almost no cases where muslims who say that their religion is a religion of peace go try to stop these acts. If a christian murders someone because they violate a christian belief, there is a hue and cry over it from other christian leaders. Look at the guy who murdered the abortion clinic doctor about 10 years ago. That was basically a terrorist act committed in the name of religion. At least the other christian leaders condemned it.

Some christians go into battle zones, disaster areas, etc, and try to bring some sort of humanitarian aid to people who are suffering. Maybe the muslims are doing that, too. If they are, they need to get the word out to the non-muslim world about it.

You don't have to be Muslim to be a terrorist. It is the act that makes you one. Christians were terrorists during the crusades. The problem is intolerance, and impatience with the slowness of established governments in effecting the changes that a particular group wishes to see. Radical or violent factions see themselves as hoplessly outnumbered and feel they can only effect change through terrorist or martyrist actions. And yes, the western media is of little help when they report sensationally on facts that are incomplete. (But a comprehensive outline would bore the general public to death and viewers would switch to a more entertaining show) All religions face the problems of differing opinions within their ranks. ( So do governments) Just be the best person you can possibly be. The rest is in your makers hands. I hope for you to find the blessing of patience and peace on behalf of your religion.

The simple fact of the matter is, most of the terrorists since 9/11 have been Muslims.

That doesn't, however, automatically mean that most Muslims are terrorists, if that's what's offending you.

In Northern Ireland, most terrorists were Roman Catholics. In the US, most (not all) terrorists are Muslim.

People tend to generalize; that's one of the bad effects of terrorism.

As a Christian, I am constantly pointing out that you can be a Christian and also be in favor of freedom of religion and believe in evolution. Many people think all Christians are anti-freedom and anti-education. That's because that kind (a) makes a lot of noise, and (b) sound so stupid and horrible that you remember them.

As a Muslim, you may, while Islamic terrorism is fashionable, have to be constantly pointing out that you believe in freedom of religion and that you think terrorism is sinful. Again, that's because the ones who don't (a) make a lot of noise and (b) sound so stupid and horrible that you remember them.

It's not fair, but there it is.

There's a couple of ways to view this. For instance, is it just as wrong to sit idly by while a fellow muslim is a terrorist. Wouldn't that indifference be considered just as non-islamic?

I've also noticed that many of the quran text that has been translated into english has been watered down to make it seem like Islam is not as bad as it really is. For instance, in Sura 8:12-3 it originally said "I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers. Smite ye above their necks and smite all their fingertips off them."

It's difficult not to associate Islam with terrorism when most terrorists are Muslims. Our sensationalist media doesn't help. Islam definitely has a problem with violence but I don't for a moment think that most Muslims agree with it.

Probably because the overwhelming majority of terrorist acts thru history...most notably the past ten years...have been islamic terrorists.

As the true nature of islam continues to show itself, then more people will be aware of it.

You asked. I gave my personal opinion.

They are not only terrorists to the earth, but to their own people. They treat women worse than dogs, and worse than all animals. They force them to cover the face given to them by God, and imprison them in a head to toe prison cell. You sanction the murder of them, and the torture of them.

They make them desire to burn their own bodies to try and escape. They strap bombs to children's backs and force them to walk into a crowd. They are taught that they will receive 72 virgins for committing mass murder.

They pray to a lie five times a day, and crucify the truth all day long, and through the night. They have no regard for human life, even their own. They have no respect for basic human rights, and take great pride in eliminating these rights. If even one of them chooses truth, he is in danger of being stoned to death.

What is wrong with this so called religion when it not only seeks the destruction of all who do not believe in a lie, but of its own people. All who follow this practice should be ashamed.

There is no vexation of the spirit for those Christians who are brave enough to speak against this. The "silent majority" should open their ears, and their eyes, and their mouths to alert the world and those in this community of Islam to the truth. It is true that the truth will set them free, both in this life and in eternity. However, living this lie will do the exact opposite.
