Peux

The p is kind of halfway between an English p and an English b. (It's "unaspirated"--you shouldn't feel a little puff of air if you hold your hand in front of your mouth. It's actually pronounced like the p in spell, which if you listen carefully is different from the p in pat.)

The eu is like the noise you'd make if someone punched you in the stomach.

The x is silent.

If you can say "je" in French, the sound of "peux" is almost the same.

More or less like this: p (without the breath that accompanies the initial p in English), followed by a sound similar to our -uh. You won't sound like a Parisian but you'll be understood.
