Deism was never a viable worldview because it was almost self-refuting. Why would a God go through such great lengths to create everything we know and then abandon it? Is that really the character we would come to expect from an omnipotent being?
At least atheism, for being a perpetual state of denial is more rational and viable as a worldview than deism.

You ignore that the theists have been born atheists and consequently you're able to desire to ingredient that in the time of as a factor of your good judgment. Ignoring or discrediting a perception that's opposite to one's very own is a usual technique on condition that the perception has already been thoroughly examined and examined. A committed and examined perception must be what? Dumped on the drop of an atheist's hat? actually you jest. Ignoring isn't useful for useful ridiculing. that's the atheist way of only answering a non secular question with "G-d would not exist" now that's a greater useful representation of your fact. canines and cats can get alongside, by ability of how and you'd be certain which you're metaphorically.

A deist is one who cannot see the sense in common concepts of a god, but does see sense in there being a higher power behind it all.
I actually considered deism for a while after leaving my ex-religion, but without evidence to back it up, I found it to be a superfluous belief that was there only to comfort me.
For others, maybe it works. I mostly include Deists as freethinkers and have no huge problem with deism.

If we accept your definition of Deist, I would say that there is no significant difference between him and an agnostic. And there is really no significant difference between an agnostic and an atheist. I suppose I would call myself an agnostic if I were pinned down to it, but the description you provide of Deist would apply to me pretty well, too. And I often consider myself an atheist, mostly because my "I don't know" (agnostic) is pretty theoretical.
The significant thing is the rejection of faith as a reason to believe something. Faith is defined as a belief in the absence of evidence, or even in the face of evidence to the contrary. I do not believe we should continue to give inappropriate respect to this concept.
I can respect the person who has faith as a person, but I cannot respect their faith. It is simply not rational, and depending on what it is they believe, potentially terribly dangerous. The most faith-full people in the world are radical Muslims and evangelical Christians. They seem prepared to bring on Armageddon and kill us all.

As atheists, we reject nothing so the half right half wrong idea doesn't apply. We will be constantly searching for new evidence to study to learn new concepts and provide explanations for old concepts. What looks plausibly right today may very well be proven wrong tomorrow. That's what science is all about. Constantly testing new and old ideas as new techniques of study and experimentation are developed. So there is no right or wrong answer to your question.

There's no way to tell whether atheism or deism is correct (creation is unverifiable in principle).
I'm an atheist because it's more parsimonious than deism, but for all I know deists could actually be right.
I would say deists could be entirely correct, we just can't tell.

In reality, there's little effective difference between the deist and the atheist.
No one knows who's right, and it really doesn't matter. The deists' god is not all that interested in our sex lives or whether we believe in him. He's just a vague, "Well, there had to be SOMETHING, I guess."

Hello "im an theist"
Any amount of truth that is tainted with some untruth, becomes a lie, just like closing your eyes whilst driving a car and turning the steering wheel just slightly to one side.... very soon after CRASH.
Truth is EXCLUSIVE AND NARROW , if i wanted to dial your mobile phone i would need every single digit, in exactly the correct order not just most of them, catch the drift. or if i dialed half your phone number it would still not be correct. etc.
Good question, got me thinkin
