I recently bought an expensive vehicle (Audi TT) and the sales guy was pretty laid back and really didn't put any extra effort in selling the vehicle to me. He told me it was my responsibility to order things the car dealer owed me and then lied later on that he never said that when his manager asked. My battery went dead in a month of owning it and they tried saying I did something to it. They replaced it for me and claimed they were more than generous to me. The manager at one point asked what is a girl from (the town I live in) buying a car from us. Yes, I live in the country but that is discriminating even to say that. This morning the heated seats didn't work and I need to get it fixed but don't want to deal with them. What would you do in this situation?

I can pretty much guarantee you that if these reports are real and common with the dealership, then they would lose their Audi franchise eventually. Go to the top girl! Don't get mad, get even and in the meantime try another dealer. Let them know you won't buy from the others again and you're 'their's for the taking' within reason of course :-)

Funny I had a boss who had a 1.8 A4 Turbo and loved it so much he bought a TT. He sold that within 12 months and bought a Beamer M3.

If you bought it new, you have a warranty. If they give you the least bit of static, ask to see the dealership's manager. Keep going up the chain until you get satisfaction. If that doesn't work, look up the district manager for Audi in your area. That takes it right out of their control, and will (hopefully) bring the wrath of Audi down on this dealership.

If you bought it used, then you're stuck with whatever warranty came with the car. Odds are, it's probably something like a 30 day warranty. If that's up, or nearly so, then they are probably just trying to stall you until the time is up.

If that's the case, you have 2 choices: either go somewhere else with your business, or make a stink in public about the poor service, and force them to honor the warranty. To do that, show up on their lot when they're really busy, and tell them (and all the other customers there) that you're having problems AGAIN with a car you bought from them, and you really want them to stand behind the warranty they said came with the car. If you have the potential to scare off some business, they'll deal with you faster.

But in the long run, you'll still need someone to fix this. If you are in the US, go to the Cartalk website below, plug in your zip code, and find a mechanic in your area that someone recommended. There's no guarantee that the mechanic will be great, but there's a good chance he will be.

Is it Pre-owned (used) or brand new? If new and any thing is wrong such as your battery and the seats. They are covered under that warranty. If you do not like the answers from the dealer your getting or their service, their is a 1-800# to call a report them. It effects their rating. Believe me they do not want that.Good luck and let then know if you call the 1-800- # you will not be a return customer and why.
