It stings a bit. And just because you had no trouble with ears, doesn't mean you'll have no trouble with your belly button - they're very different piercings. Ears are just a tiny pin prick in comparison - your belly button piercing will actually use a hollow needle and remove a chunk of your flesh. I had my belly button pierced four times and every time it expelled itself and never healed properly. I also happen to agree with the other answers saying you're too young.

Firstly, I had my belly button pierced at 14.
Secondly, it is more prone to infection than your ears because of the location, yes it hurts when you first have it pierced. Get it on the top. Buy a spare bar from the place that you get it pierced at so you know if you lose the original one you have another one of the same material and stuff.
The people at the salon that you get it pierced at will guide you through the cleaning process and tell you what to do and what not to do.
I'll give you a bit of friendly advice:
- Don't touch it with un washed fingers or let anyone else touch it.
- Don't take it out for the recommended time (usually 6 weeks) because I did and I was lucky it didn't get infected. It hurt like hell putting the bar back in because I took mine out 3 weeks after I got it done to change the bar and it bled so much.
- Don't buy cheap body jewellery because even after it's healed up, you can still get an infection.

first of all you are too young and someone can get into some serious trouble for doing that to a minor...you have to be real careful,,,do not touch it with dirty hands or let anyone else touch it.. I have had mine pierced 2 times and both times it healed very nicely...I followed the instructions, washed my belly button 4 to 5 times a day..I used Johnsons Baby Wash, it is mild and gentle, ..each time I washed it I would move the ring around in circles so the soap would get to every inch inside and outside of the belly button and piercing.. I always used the bactine spray on me...sprayed it every chance I get and once again twist it or roll it, depending on what type of ring you get, so the medicine gets to all of it. Wearing blue jeans or shorts can be tricky also..I always wore the low rise or something with elastic and that isn't tight..at least until it was healed..
The piercing itself isn't excrutiating but it does sting for a second or 2.. but if it gets hit , that actually hurts worse...Hope this helps and good luck sweetie!!!!
I got a ring instead of a barbel...the 1st one I got was a barbel and it did take longer to heal and was a little more aggravating at first...it just depends on the person, I guess....but to me the ring was less trouble when it comes to the healing process....

Yes, there is a far greater chance of infection when you get your belly button pierced. You need to be very careful. You get it pierced on top but I would wait a few years if I were you. Belly and eye brow piercings can leave unsightly scars if you decide to take them out at a later date.
Belly peircings are really cute, especially the ones that sit inside your belly button but they can be alot of trouble, too. I would talk this over withyour parents. I've seem someone have to go to the hospital with a really seious infcetion because they didn't keep their peircings clean.

a guy in my town just went to jail for 5 years for piercing a minor.
wait till you're 18.
just because your ears didn't get infected doesn't mean your bellybutton won't. they are different kind of piercings. sweat will run into your belly button ring and cause infection. when jeans rub against the ring it can become infected.
my stepdaughter has hers done in an X with 2 piercings. it looks too awesome!

13?
i wasnt allowed to get my bally done even when i was 15, not becuase my parents forbidded it but becuase you havnt finished growing,
you dont have to be 18 you just need parental consent but yeah when i went to get my done at 15 the lady told me that i should wait till i'm 18 when i'm fully grown but i got it done for my 17th dont get it done now it might rip with growth. it can get infected and when it does you'll be sorry so make sure its what you want. and as for the other stuff no it doesnt hurt if you pay extra for an injection to numb your belly button and you should ask what would look best on you for the jewelry part. hope that was helpful. x

this is thoroughly frequent and purely skill this is nevertheless healing. clean it 2-thrice an afternoon with non-iodized sea salt (a million/4 teaspoon) in boiled water. try this for 10 minutes and you piercing could heal completely.

have your parent take you to a tattoo parlor and get it done, they will have to sign a consent form, they require more care than ear piercings and take up to 7 months to heal, the piercer will inform you of cleansing routine and aftercare
