Not much. There is no afterlife until the resurrection. Once yer dead...yer pretty much just dead. Love in Christ, ~J~
People will tend to point to the few Bible passages that appear to perhaps refer to the concept of immediate dispensation...however, these are vague references of the PARABLE of The Rich Man and Lazarus, the account of Sauls demonic visitation, where Samuel still would have been brought up from a "rest" if it had been a ligit consult with the dead...but the witch at Endor had no real power and was terrified, and also the verse in Rev 14:11 - Lemme break it down....
Revelation 14:11
11And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
The smoke rises for ever and ever...not their torment lasts for ever and ever. The phrase "smoke of their torment" is painting a picture of consumption by fire. Here the sentance ends..."and they have no rest, day or night, those who worship the beast and his image and the mark of his name..."
This would refer to the Catholic Church teachers of false doctrine and traditions of men who changed the commandments of God by their own authority. The Sabbath has always been a sign between God and His people. Those not honoring the Sabbath or any of the commandments for that fact...have recieved upon themselves the mark of the beast...the mark stands for labor, technology, economics. They have no rest day or night....In heaven, there everyday will be a Sabbath to the Creator because that is what the Sabbath points to. Its all there...you just have to want to see it.
Okay...see if this makes sense...why would God send all the peeps one way or another..."heaven" or "hell" (which by the way in Hebrew means grave) when we are told we would recieve destruction, perdition (to be cast away) and to perish at the Judgement? Would He call all those people from their designated places just to send them back after Judgement? Where in the bible are the verses that say..."when you die...you will go to heaven or hell?" Not there...God is a Our God of mercy and grace...He would never cause people to suffer for eternity in a place He would have had to been responsible for creating. Could you love and worship a God that was like that? Neither could I. Thankfully, we don't have to. Evil will be destroyed, and death and "hell" with it.
Read the rest of the passage:
12Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the COMMANDMENTS of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may REST FROM THEIR LABORS; and their works (this means good works) do follow them.
Salvation is Jesus...there is no arguement there. However, if you believe in Him, Love Him, then you will keep His commandments. He says as much. Most churches don't teach this...they teach that God's Holy Law has been abolished and that we are supposed to "love" one another. Well, that is what the Law teaches. The Laws that Jesus came to free people from were the overburdonsome ceremonial laws, the blood sacrifice laws and the law suit laws that were being piled upon the people in that day and would have continued so that people had no hope. He is that hope but His Laws have never changed. The 10 Commandments and the 2 He gave upon which they are summed. Keep them and stay in the Word of God and when you die...your hope can be in the Resurrection. Love in Christ, ~J~
At the resurrection for Judgement there will be the gift of eternal life for those that belong to God. All others will be destroyed as well as death itself and the grave...
Revelation 20:14
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
If "hell" is a lake of fire...then how could it be cast into itself? Instead...they substitued "sheol" in all these passages with either "hel" which is a Norse god of the mythical underworld...or "hades" which is the greek. There is mass Scripture to support this...if you need it... let me know. ;0)

Yes, there is life after death, but there are those who erringly believe that once you die, you cease to exist until the resurrection. This is problematic for two reasons: First, it contradicts scripture. Second, if a person dies and ceases to exist, then he is in the same state he was before he was born: non-existence. Therefore, at the resurrection, it is not he who is raised from the dead. No, instead, a copy of the original person is produced. Nevertheless, the Bible definitely tells us that there is life after death:
Luke 16:22-23, "Now it came about that the poor man died and he was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. 23 “And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torment, and *saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom."
Note, this is not a parable or a mere illustration since it contains the name of an individual, Lazarus. Besides if it were a parable, then what is it illustrating if not life after death?
John 14:1, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."
2 Cor. 5:8, "we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord."
Here we see that Paul is teaching that to be absent from the body (to be dead) is to be at home with the Lord. This could not be if we ceased to exist after death.
Phil. 1:21-23, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose. 23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better."
Rev. 14:11, "And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; and they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
This scripture is about the judgment of the wicked and how they will endure it forever in consciousness.
Therefore, we can clearly see that there is definitely life after death.

It's a procedure and it traditionally works, the extra you are saying it, the fewer you clog up your neurons with endochemicals that inhibit dopamines and lymphocytes, and your frame starts to withstand higher. It's all within the mind, fact, lies, myths, structures, tables and tortoises, the historical past of Italian colonialism and your determination to give up smoking. When your mind dies, all of it has to discover some way into any individual else's mind, however you'll be able to do it upfront, it is known as social interplay. It is helping to preserve matters o.k..

(Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
We are 'asleep' in death until the resurrection
(Psalm 13:3) Do look [upon me]; answer me, O Jehovah my God. Do make my eyes shine, that I may not fall asleep in death,
(Daniel 12:2) And there will be many of those asleep in the ground of dust who will wake up, these to indefinitely lasting life and those to reproaches [and] to indefinitely lasting abhorrence.
(Revelation 20:12-13) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.

For me, heaven lies beyond death. Heaven with Christ Jesus and other faithful believers. We are more spiritual beings than we are flesh and blood.

Lie to me. Go ahead lie to me.
The otherway is so unappealing.
But why ask a believer if they think it's a lie? You got mixed up right?
