What does this statement mean to you as a Bible reader ? Just curious, in my daily devotions I often come across things I like put into modern language so I come here and ask. and of course with reference to the Holy Bible the Christians use.

I go to Biblegateway.com and look up message version, it is a loose translation but puts it into words I can understand , but I read NIV first and also it could be from the commentary on the verse at biblegateway.com It lets you look the verse up in a zillion translations and languages It is great !

i dont take it at just being open handed with material things. have you noticed when you are around a happy person it can make you happy, just like a person sad can tend to make you sad? id say it could be bout if you are full of joy and happiness that you should also try and make others happy to.

What 'version' is this from? In my bible the verses are all about praising God for his past and present mercies toward his children.

Love and help one another. Also try to share with others that heart that's filled with the holy spirit. Most would see that in another person and want it, so be willing to share it.

The scripture is telling us to give to God that which belongs to him. We all have a duty to find out what God required of us and to honor the gift.
Worship of the true God should be our first concern in life.
