He is not saved because rejection of prophet is a great sin!
I am a Muslim and believe in Jesus Christ as a great Prophet of God. According to my faith Jesus did not die on the cross hence salvation is totally depends on good deeds or mercy and will of God.
Christians faith says that he died for their sin is quite confusing. They say that he rose from the dead on 3rd day? It means he did not die or god has not accepted his sacrifice?? How come christians claim " He died for their sins"??
Now, Christians have to decide as to whether he is dead or Alive?? If he is not dead the sacrifice is not accepted by God!

Salvation comes at the end, either at one's life or at Armageddon.
Just because Jesus died for everyone, that doesn't mean everyone will be or is saved.
John 3:16, Saved or perished are the two choices we have.
Matt 24:13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
Even after gaining an approved condition with Christ, you can lose 'Salvation'
Heb 3:12 Beware, brothers, for fear there should ever develop in any one of YOU a wicked heart lacking faith by drawing away from the living God;
4:11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, for fear anyone should fall in the same pattern of disobedience.
6:4 For it is impossible as regards those who have once for all been enlightened, and who have tasted the heavenly free gift, and who have become partakers of holy spirit, 5 and who have tasted the fine word of God and powers of the coming system of things, 6 but who have fallen away, to revive them again to repentance, because they impale the Son of God afresh for themselves and expose him to public shame.
====
Salvation of mankind in general is available, Salvation of individuals requires an active, alive, living faith to the end

As far as i know Jesus died for the opportunity to save ones self.
The actual saving has to be accepted through baptism.

Saved from what?
I should hope you don't want to live forever.
THINK ABOUT IT!
Forever, would NEVER end. You'd just keep *being*. It would never end. EVER! It's the worst kind of torture I can think of.
However, a couple billion years would be nice.
Imagine is heaven was real, and that every person born had a soul. That would make the Earth one giant soul factory. Hehe.

I thought the idea was that Jesus died to save our souls/spirit therfore he died to save us in death, not life.In life all the choices are yours, there is not even Jesus to blame.

Maybe it means that for those who reject Christ, death has the only true and absolute meaning. God Bless you.

yeah , basically jesus died for all the sins in the world but yet you still aren't really saved until you forsake all that is logical and "take up your cross"

No. It means that anyone who places their faith and confidence in Him is saved from that moment.
