Do you mean successful as in they last forever, or successful as in the couple works really well together?
I think stats show that arranged marriages are more likely to last. However, this is likely due to the stigma/rules surrounding divorce within an arranged marriage. Whether they're successful within the marriage or not, I don't think you can really know.
Personally, I pick love marriage any day, but that said, a few of my friends have parents who were in arranged marriages and they're SO happy together (and parents with "love" marriages who are/were miserable). I don't think there's any way to tell.

A marriage based on "LOVE" is always the more successful. Even if it breaks down you will have many good and happy memories. In many cases the love grows stronger with the passing years. However, with an arranged marriage one or both parties usually feel obligated and trapped and that breeds resentment. It's better to go through life with one or more partners that you love rather than go through life suffering in a relationship that you never wanted in the first place.

As if u love someone, There is no meaning of arrange marriage..
N if u do not love nybody till yet, u will go for arrange marriage...
n if u will try to love smbody caz u think love marriage are more successful...I tihnk it wont work...confused even I m confused....wat i think the marriage in which both partners love n trust on each other get success.....isn't.

Arranged because people nowadays confuse lust with love and rush to the altar with out having common goals and plans.

Love. Trust me. In order to have a good marriage you need to be great friends. To be great friends you need to spend ample quality time together. When you spend quality ample time together you either fall in love or understand that it isnt in your best interest. Love also involves choice. Choice in a realtionship helps people appreciate what they have.
