Some women just have a harder time concieving a child than do others. Some woman do seem to be more fertile than others. Some can have unprotected sex for years and not get pregnant while another one can do that once and get knocked up. BTW Birth control is NOT 100% effective. I got pregnant with my daughter on the pill and trust me, I wasn't trying to trap her dad, get pregnant on purpose or anything like that. The only thing that is guaranteed to not result in pregnancy is abstaining from sex!

I must add that I am amazed by some of the ignorance on here, like the lady who assumed that because she is 40 and a 'professional' escort and never been pregnant these young girls must be doing it on purpose! What a crock. Pretty judgemental of her. You have obviously been cautious and used birth control but on the other hand you are very forutnate. I bet you have had some STD's though in your line of work, huh? I have never had ANY. How would you like someone to suggest you got it(STD) on purpose?

Maybe girls do get pregnant on purpose, but NOT all of them. Woman are different. For example: My daughter is now 25 and has been trying to get pregnant for 2 years, but has not! I am amazed by this because I got pregnant with her the 3rd time I had sex and I was on the pill for a month before I became sexually active!

What about the man's responsibility in this? Why are women the ones made responsible for the birthcontrol? Shouldn't men be more proactive? It takes two to make a baby it should be the responsibility of both to try to assure it doesn't happen and plan their method of birth control? But if that fails WHY does everyoone blame the woman?

I love my daughter more than life itself but she was NOT in the plan. She did change my life, for the best and I spent most of my life as a single mom with no child support and no state aid. I thank God for the biggest and the best mistake of my life!

I don't think that it's a secret or anything. Sometimes women just get pregnant by accident. While it *is* extremely fun, sex is meant to be for procreation. It is how babies are made. Too many people forget that when they have sex & do not take the proper precautions to avoid getting pregnant (both the guy & the girl are responsible for this).

Some women get pregnant on purpose because they feel like it would keep the guy with them. They're wrong for thinking that, as that usually ensures that the guy will leave even faster. Some just don't like birth control like condoms, but don't get on another form of birth control like condoms.

My advice to you is to always carry a condom around & insist on using it. Maybe it doesn't "feel as good" & may "take longer", but it's a heck of a lot better than knocking some girl up or getting a disease. Of course, if you don't want to use a condom there is always the alternative: abstinence & masturbation.

Why do some get pregnant and some don't? I think just about everyone has had some sort of sex education in school, read about it, etc... So there is NO secret!! The ones that end up pregnant really planned it that way to hold on to a guy, otherwise they would have been on the pill or have the guy use a condom. You should know this. How old are you?

You're right someone needs to take to these young ladys. tell them to open thier eyes. The guy is apparently not taking any responsibility either or he would use protection too. better yet if they are young maybe they just need to wait for that right person to come along.
it is very easy for someone to convince you that they love you and promise you so much if only you would do this...if the girls are young they may be imature enough to believe it.
the girls that are not getting pregnant are either on birthcontrol themselves or their partner is using protection. the ones that are getting pregnant neither of them must be using any. There the blame falls on both sexes. not just the young ladys.
It would be so much better if young people today would just wait and not risk pregnancy or even desease. FInd that special person to spend your life with.

This is for ladies not for you since you are a guy:
Using the condom is the best way. It protects you from dieses as well. Anyway using a temperature can be useful. Use a temperature to measure the body temperature every morning (when you wake up) and write down the degree of body temperature. 10 to 15 days after the first day of period, you can see an increase to body temperature. It means that you are ready to be pregnant. Be careful. Don't have sex without condom.

For some reason I have thought about this topic, just the What If's. I would most likey keep it. I will be honest and say I have had an abortion before years ago, but after having my daughter I know I couldnt do it again. And after carrying a baby in my body I know I would be in love with it no matter the situation. Yes, it would suck that it was a part of a man that would do that, but its also part of me, so worth keeping because Obviously I make beautiful intelligent and super cool children!! :)

It's called abstinence or birth control. If you play with fire and don't have fire proof protection, you're liable to get burnt. If you don't want to get pregnant, use precautions. There are a lot of birth control methods on the market, use one. I'm sure a lot of young ladies who are or have gotten pregnant did know about birth control, but thought, "It can't happen to me." Now they know better. Also, pregnancy doesn't discriminate over unmarried or married ladies. It works the same with both, some will get pregnant and some won't.

Birth control pills (taken regularly) or the Depovaren Shot, (longer term contraception) in conjunction with a condom (for STD protection), and you've got most avenues covered.
The problem is not that they (and you guys) don't know what to do, the problem is that they (AND YOU GUYS) are not prepared before the event.
And even if you do have unprotected sex at the right time to conceive, it doesn't always mean you get pregnant, but why take the chance at all?

Um yeah heres the secrets that helps the girl NOT getting pregnant. It's callded BIRTHCONTROL, I don't care who you are, a girl should always have birthcontrol, even if your a frickin virgin. Oh yeah the girls also have to get their guys to wear the effin CONDOMS, thats the combo for every frickin day that your going to do it, CONDOMS and BIRTHCONTROL. I don't get how BLOND (thats right I said BLOND) these girls have to be in order to let it pass and let their BF have sex with them without the CONDOM. If it's only going to be able to use only one of those tricks, then the CONDOM is the best bet, but the fool proof one is CONDOMS and BIRHTCONTROL pills. You don't know how many girls I know that say "Like oh my god I think I'm pregnant" and I ask didn't you use protection blondy? and they reply "Oh my mom took my birtcontrol, and the condom broke" the nerve they have for not admiting to it, but I guess I can understand. Please ladies, if you don't want to get pregnant, and got no protection what so ever then don't be the blond and don't have sex, wait until you at least have a CONDOM on you.

Sometimes the ones getting pregnant want to and the others don't.
Or the ones getting pregnant don't understand about reproduction and contraceptives.
Or the ones getting pregnant have unfortunate accidents with non-working pills and microscopic condom holes.
Or they think they're taking contraceptives but in fact they're using them incorrectly.
Some people are more fertile than others (sperm counts, ovulation etc)
