I am trying to get a tattoo of it and I just want to verify the trasnslation.

It is : كـر يـس but for a tattoo you should have it designed in Arabic calligraphy,see this site:

Zain is right... that is the transliteration: kaf, ra, ya, sin... If I'm not mistaken.

Now to be sure... Why are you interested in getting a tattoo that you can't read? Is this something you want for the rest of your life? People who read Arabic may or may not understand the tatoo, since it doesn't necessarily mean anything in Arabic. I'd seriously re-think this one.

The way the other person spelled it, it would be pronounced "Chreeees" (like a 'crease' in your pants). I'm pretty sure you don't want that.

You've just learned the first of many reasons why not to ask people how to write things in languages you yourself don't know --

there is no word nor name as Chris .. but i could always send you a mail attached to it a photo with the word Chris in Arabic letters if you want!?
