No, not at all. BYU freely entertains applications from all people. What you have to do is get an interview with a local LDS Bishop who will tell you what you need to know in order to qualify for BYU application. You have to agree to live according to LDS standards, no tobacco, alcohol, caffeinated drinks, etc. You have to agree to no sexual relations outside of proper marriage. Proper conduct within the honor code is mandatory. The bishop will explain all of this to you.
In addition to that stuff, you of course need to have good grades and college entrance scores.
Tuition for a person that is not a member of the Church is a bit higher than for members because members partially support the school through their regular tithing payments. It is true that the student body is probably in excess of 90% LDS but that shouldn't discourage you. Most non-LDS don't apply because they are scared off by the code of conduct I mentioned above. Religion classes are required.
It is a great place to get an education, being rounded out and balanced between worldly knowledge and spiritual knowledge.

You might or might not be left out. That is up to you. I went to BYU for a year, and I was left out of a lot of things, but that was because I was going through a very difficult time, and was purposely being anti-social. My roommates would try to include me, but I refused. I'd have a total different experience now.

I would imagine that once your roommates or neighbors found out that you aren't LDS, you'd be included in a lot of things. The students there tend to be very friendly.

You can go. However, non-LDS students pay more.

This is because our tithing helps pay for things at the university. Members pay tithing. It's kind of like in-state/out-of-state tuition.

good luck! BYU is a great school

As far as I know, there are non-members at BYU. They just have to pay a higher tuition and they do have to take the same religion classes that Mormons do.

No you won't. As long as you obey the honor code, you can attend. Others won't leave you out either.
