The reason I ask is because I see a good deal of Christians here that say things that I don't believe they would ever say to another person face-to-face. Yes, I know the atheists can be rude also, however they don't have your God watching every move they make and have no guilt associated with defying the teachings of your Christ. Do you think because of the annonimity of this forum that God does not care how you are treating others not of you faith?
PS-I realize this applies to the few, not the many.

allen t, no it was not you that inspired the question, actually it was Nicole. For the record, I am neither Muslim nor Christian. I'm agnostic. A peaceful sort, wouldn't you say?

Spike, I'm not trying to say that it's ok for anyone to be rude. I'm saying that it is rather hypocritical for someone to claim they model their life after a man who taught peace, tolerance, and acceptance only to act in the exact opposite manner when they are here.

aaah...so it's "okay" for atheists to be rude, intolerant, and hurtful...how convenient for them! lol-it's not okay for ANYONE-no matter how fashionable 'moral relativism' might seem to some
being nasty is something that i try NOT to do, although i have to admit that at times i'm sorely tempted...and i will admit that it's easier to resist the urge to say something really snarky in real life, since most people wouldn't dare throw the kind of crap at me face-to-face that they do on R&S

I'm outspoken. I base my answers on knowledge and sound reasoning and sometimes I flip-out on people who willfully act stupid. Also, there is nothing I say in this or any other forum that I wouldn't say face-to-face to anyone in here. I have a very confrontational style that may put some people off, but usually it's because they're unable to debate a point without resorting to the usual accusation that I'm being rude. A person qualifies their intent by their choice of words, and I respond to them. That is not being rude.

Just because you don’t know who I am and I do not know who you are – does not, will not, and can not undermine the knowledge that the L-RD G-d (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) has about EVERY person on this planet; since the moment He said “Let there be….” He knew each one of us, before we were conceived.
What we think, say, or do might be done behind the back of other people; but HE knows all things. Nothing can be hidden from HIM. Plain and simple, it is impossible to ‘sneak around’ or ‘hide from’ Him. Like I said it does not matter if you believe or not, your faith or unbelief in Him; will not – can not – does not -- cause Him or His Kingdom to become invalid or powerless.
The above statements are not my opinions or my words – they are the opinions and Words of the L-RD G-d (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit); given to all people by way of the Torah, Bible, and Dead Sea Scrolls. Any and all thumbs-down to the above will be seen as a testimony; that His Words are true. So, I thank all in advance for the thumbs-down and take this opportunity to say – it will be seen as a positive statement in my life.

I cannot apologize, for those who discredit the Words of Christ, for they are not my words. The only words i trust, are the parables of Jesus himself, Though there are a few other scriptures I do show interest. I am sorry that Jesus true love and meaning, have been lost, due manipulation of Gods Word, to fit the needs of popes and other men wielding there power through manipulation and propaganda, Jesus put forth the parables so they would be remembered and not lost, don't through the baby out with the bath water, Most if not all Christianity is corrupt, and fails the true meaning of God. Read only Jesus's words in the gospel, feel in your heart whats Jesus says, He loves you I love you. This I know to be true, and self evident. May you have an ear that hears, I pray onto God for Thee, God bless you my child.

tre: Christians are human beings too. Remember; some come across as "Christian", but are "trolls", who like to take advantage of the gullible and the naive. Yes; a Christan needs to be concerned about his or her attitude on here. Not because God is "watching" but to demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to others not of the faith (non-believers). Atheists do not get off the "hook" that easily, either. Like Christians, he or she will stand before the Judgement seat of Jesus Christ and likewise, give account for every idle word spoken (written too). Yep - all of us are humans Christian & Atheists alike and we do things wrong BUT God loves ALL of us equally and UNconditionally.

I try my best to be the same....given im not perfect and I have been not so nice on a few of my awnsers. Others might not have sounded like they came off well but where in my mind not rude or intentionaly hurtfull.
As far as intolerant. Christians should be, beacuse some things are just stupid. (and I dont mean by any means any, even most things, but abortion and other huge things like that and people having sex outside marage and rough issues I stand firm on) and not intentionaly in a hurtfull or rude way but just stating my veiw and stay unwavering on not changing it.

Just curious- are you a Christian? If so what are you doing judging when you have no authority to judge. I have seen a lot of hurtful things on both sides, and I am not saying either is right, but until both sides learn to be mature and respect each others opinion, whether they agree or not, this forum will never change. Peace

I am me wherever I go. My values, opinions and views are always with me. Either I say what I think or remain silent.
The difference is that this is a forum for addressing religious and spiritual issues, ideas, and opinions. The front porches of my neighbors is not, unless of course, we are having such a discussion.

That's a great question!
I think people on these forums are just being themselves and showing their true colours (both good and bad).
