I would like to break the record for the fattest cat. It is a female about 1.5 years old. I currently give her an unlimited supply of cat food and was thinking about weight gainer or protein powder mixed in with a limited exercise area. Any ideas?

if they like fatty turkey skin or fatty chicken skin will really put the weight on.try feeding her bread and doughnuts also.if you get the cat stoned it will eat more also!!! cat treats also get cats fat. try chips also.
you are only killing your cat.
youll kill the cat eventually trying to do this.
not healthy. also cat reats have a lot of fat in them.

my cat is about a year and a half old too. He is a fat cat! but I have seen much bigger. He also has an unlimited food supply. He eats at his own pace and we fill his bowl when it's empty. (he doesn't eat very much still, we have to fill it every 2 days or so...) I don't see giving your cat weight gainer, unless he/she was severely under weight. watch out for his/her health! they say that being obese is bad for humans... so wouldn't it be bad for the cat too?

That is animal abuse. Overweight cats will have many health problems including diabetes. You should feed your cat the proper amount of food and keep her at an appropriate weight. When you have a pet, you are responsible for it's healthiness and happiness, not your selfish whims. Pets provide a special loyalty and companionship, you need to do the same by her. Shame on you.

I don't think there even IS a record for "fattest cat". In fact, there is no "fattest" or "skinniest" animal record at all. A quote from the Guinness Book of World Records 2006 'Please note: We do not accept claims for "heaviest" or "fattest" pet so please don't overfeed any pet in order to claim a world record'. I don't know why you should even own a cat. I hope that this is just a ridiculous joke!
Edit: I did NOT say that there were no fat cats out there; just no record for fat cats. I can't believe you would do something like this just to get a record! Pets are for life, not for fattening up to make you famous.

you need to find a hobby that doesn't kill your pet. Do you think you will gain esteem by poisoning your pet? Think this one out a bit more . If you need to break a world record, go for the world's fattest man and leave the cat alone.

Are you aware that your goal to have the fattest cat in the world will result in a shortened life span for this animal? It's one thing to want fame for your own benefit. To transpose that wish onto your pet isn't only selfish, it's irresponsible.

Actually, it depends on the gene on how big the body can get. No matter how you big you want it to be and it just stops there, that's it's limitation. That is, unless of course, you don't use some sort of drug that would break through the body barrier. Good luck on that record though. I hope to see in Guinness!

Are you serious!!Fat cat=early death!! My sister had a very fat cat and she found out it had diabetes and hip disorders.
She had to get it euthanized and it was only 7 years old!
Please reconsider.
