We've been up all night trying to find a name and we can't decide!! here's what we have so far:

I went through the same thing about 6 months ago. My girlfriend and I got a male German Shepherd Puppy and we sat for an hour going through names. Then for some reason we both started going through Marine Corps Ranks and finally named him Gunny. There are several others that you can use also;
Colonel
Major
Sargent
L.T. for Lieutenant
Cap for Captain
General
Lance coolie for Lance Corpral
and even Admiral
These names actually have become pretty common. Of course, I have also rescued German Shepherds for 4 years so i have used other names like
Bravo
Bear
Champ
Zeus
Thor
Radar
Raider
Cheif
King
and of course my favorite of all is my big boy Buster
Hope these names have helped. If I had to choose right now, i think I would go wtih L.T or Major. More likely Major because in the Marine Corps, I hated Lieutenant. Book smart people that new nothing about the real world. Hope this helps

I like Zeke. I named my German shepard Lars. Hes my big baby. But he was at my moms for the weekend and ran aways last night and now she cant find him....GRRRR
