My daughter now works at 7/11 but she says she wants to quit because there has been so much gang activity in the area lately. She wants to take a job delivering pizzas in a gang infested area. I told her that delivering pizzas would be much more dangerous than working at 7/11. what do you think?

I think you are right. Delivering pizzas seems more dangerous in any neighborhood. Carrying all of that cash around. She never knows who is actually at the other side of the door. At least she has a silent alarm in the store if someone is there giving her a hard time.

Can't she find a job at a store that is only open until 9:00 PM?

It seems to me that if she doesn't work so late that it wouldn't be as dangerous.

Both 7/11 and Pizza delivery are dangerous in bad areas.

If for what ever reason, these are her only choices, I'd stick with 7/11. At least there are cameras and she isn't going to stranger's houses BY HERSELF.

Best of luck.

Delivering pizza is a bit safer. The emplyees know where you are going so if shes missing they'll call the police. 7/11 on the other hand, is just asking to get robbed. Both are dangerous though. The best option is to find another job if possible.

Shops are a target, because cash is kept, and there is a reason to rob the shop.

If you are delivering pizza then you only have the change for the one delivery.

You are going to a known address, if you don't report back then they will pizza shop will call the police.

Yeah both are dangerous, but I would lean toward pizza delivery as being a little bit safer. Perhaps your daughter should try some other options.

I live in a neighborhood where working at the 7/11 is just as unsafe as delivering pizza. Every job has a certain amount of risk, but employers fail to mention it in the interview. Sometimes it is in the job description of just how dangerous the job is..Its her decision to make, but it is up to her to make the job safer. Being careless can make any job unsafe.

I wouldn't be happy with either.

Both are equally dangerous in crime ridden areas.

Can't she take a bus and find a job in a better area?
