this job didn't require experience either. they were supposed to call last thursday. I was home to sick but not as sick as friday.
I don't get why I didn't get it.
All they had to do was check my background.

if so..
asked to talk to the person who interview u.. or made the decision ..
then politely asked them.. why u didn't get the job..
u need to no so u can up grade Ur application or dress different or check Ur credit.. for future references..
they may or may not tell u... but it will help u in the future..

To start, the fact that the job doesn't have a posted experience requirement doesn't mean that you don't have to compete with other applicants to get the job. It is possible that they found someone with experience amongst the various candidates who would do the job in which case it would be difficult to justify that you are the most qualified.
Additionally, by your own admission you were ill on the day that they were suppossed to call you and may not have heard the call come in due to your illness. Unfortunately it is your responsibility to ensure the phone gets answered when they call you. If they called and you didn't answer they may have decided you weren't serious enough about the job or may have accepted another answer so choose someone else. Depending on their need and past experiences hiring employees they may have chosen not to call back instead choosing someone else.
The best way to find out what happened is to contact them and ask.

Firstly, no one rejects someone for a job, the simply accept someone else. If you have one job interview you have maybe a 1 in 10 chance of getting it. Which means you should be asking this question is you didn't get a job after 10 interviews.
Remember, you might be able to do the job (no experience required) but so could everyone else. Maybe you were good, maybe you were great, but maybe the other person was fantastic. I once had a job interview and after the job interview they rang me and told me, they would have given me the job no problem, but the happenned to have another candidate that was so amazing that they got the job hands down.
So don't give up, keep trying more jobs and eventually you will get one (or hang outside the office, take down the licence plates of the other candidates, track them down and murder them in their sleep.....it is the only way to guarantee success)

I think the employmant criteria are as follows:
1) Your appearance
2) Your personality
3) Your answers to their questions
4) Your overall impression to the interviewer in terms of the above-noted.
You need to express your have a keen interest (even it is just performing) in the job you applied for. You should tell them you want to keep the job for a long time and a desire to get advancement in the job. You probably can get your job in your next interview. Good luck!

There's no way to tell, but perhaps they interviewed another candidate that did have experience or better suited the position. Just keep trying, it often takes going to several interviews before you actually land a job. good luck!

Well... This is life for you...
There will always be someone else applying... But the thing is what you put on your application... How you act when you speak with the people... And your confidence/nervouseness level..
And who knows, maybe there was someone more qualified that you...

There are a million reasons why you didn't get the job.
But the bottom line was that someone else that interviewed did it better and got your job.

Maybe you weren't a fit for the company and they felt someone else was a better fit. Or it could be they hired someone else they already knew.

Do you speak as bad as you write?
Do you have lots of visible tattoos or piercings?
Did you research the company?
Did you talk like a gangster?
Did you swear?
Did your application have as many grammatical errors as your post did?
Keep your chin up, and try better next time.
