Hello,
I am in a relationship with a young man. I like him very much. Lately I've been worried because, ever since he asked me to be his girlfriend (and I said yes), he hugs/kisses/holds me and I get a little nervous. I told him I wasn't going to have sex with him, so if that was what he was looking for, he should just move on to another girl, and he replied that he wasn't dating me for sex. Why is he so aggressive? Is he lying? Or am I just overreacting? This is my first relationship, and I'm scared of getting hurt.

You have to find out what kind of a guy he is. There are those whose very expressive and would express the way they feel by touch and or kiss. If this is your first time to have a relationship then it would be very difficult for you to know if he's just after sex or not. If you love him and your absolutely sure he cares for you then there's nothing to be scared of. Getting hurt is part of every and any relationship - be ready

Well, maybe he is been honest and is just been loving. He may be expressing his feelings for you the way he knows rather than just expressing it through words. Females can talk and let you know everything but males are not the same way. I don't know a guy who expresses himself through communication and get his point across when it comes to saying how much you mean to them and they love you for been you. He may just feel awkward telling you so is been touchy. But don't give into him IF he does want sex. Sex should be when BOTH partners are ready.

You are right to be cautious. He probably sees you as his next conquest. Check out the history books. The first thing men did was to conquer their enemies lands. Then once the men were gone they raped and pillaged their land. The reason they always raped the women was so that the second generation would not come back to attack their own kind. History repeats itself. Learn from the lessons passed down from previous gen.

actions speak louder than words...guys can and will say pretty much anything to get what they want...and most of the time, when a girl tells a guy no, he thinks he will be able to change your mind. Bottom line is you shouldn't do anything you don't feel comfortable with...follow your gut. If he starts going too far and you get that uneasy feeling in your stomach, then stop it.

I suggest you tell him what you just told us.
Telll him how you feel and think and talk it out. Tell him that you think he's too aggressive and that maybe you guys should move slower. If he really truly love you, he would respect your words and take it slow until you are ready for all that stuff.

obviously he is lying...this is what any average guy would do...tell u not here for sex but wouldnt leave a chance doing so....the besst way is to ask him for sex from your side and check his reaction....think u understand...move on dont get dumped in ur 1st ever relationship

u might be overreacting just a little. he just wants to be close, don't be nervous, but if he takes a move waaaaaaaaay too far.... hes a jerk and he wants to have sex. (i like your choice of not wanting sex, very smart) :)
