I would categorize an extreme atheist if they go about seeking to convert people to non-belief in God's through various means (an extreme Atheist would be that one guy who created the Blasphemy challenge, or someone who seeks to ban religion, etc), just like I would consider an extreme Christian one who goes about trying to convert others through fear to their favor of milk, the same with Extreme Muslims who go about trying to convert others through actual killing.

Basically anyone who is actively trying to beat out the competition.

The opposite of the religious fanatic is not the fanatical atheist but the gentle cynic who cares not whether there is a god or not.

tuberoot: You don't even know the people who come here, so how can you have any idea whether or not they are in denial? What a stupid thing to say since most Atheists are quite steadfast in their beliefs, anyway.

To me its one who is always trying to push their agenda down peoples throats. Ive ran across one in RL and a myriad on here. It feels like they are control freaks if you dont happily buy into what they are selling. Very pushy and prideful. Also, this is a generalization but I would say a bit cold and rude too.

Well though no formal definition exists but I feel that an extreme Atheist can be described as a person who in addition to his belief, goes on to force it upon others. However, atheist or not, such a person has to be, primarily a NUT.

Well after thinking about it for a few seconds it seems to me that one would have to be "extreme" to be an "atheist". One who is unable to define what they are without inserting a denial of what they are not is rather extreme. Seems like some fragile logic to me.

They are usually pretty mellow about it. Many are just fed up with religion all together. The idea is fairly extreme in itself. Extreme behavior is not necessary.
