I don't say that there has been moral decline..I think sense of morality is lost in US..It will be difficult to define morality now.

It is exactly the same.
Religious people have the concept of "evil" and "sin" all wrong. The fundamental concept of "evil" is just pure selfishness. Whether it's in the taking of another life, lying, stealing or whatever. The basic concept is taking ones personal, selfish wants at the expense of someone else.
Back to the original subject. In the past, prejudice in America was an institution. Before that, slavery was practiced and considered a cultural norm. And in-between, Hitler murdered 12 million people. Then there is Stalin, Bonnie and Clyde, the Mob, the assassination of JFK, the stealing of Indian lands....
People will always have selfish desires, be it greed or religious beliefs.
The removal of Science and rational thought from our society is an evil being perpetrated right now. This is being perpetrated by people who think they have a monopoly of "good".

These things have always been in America (Canada too) but not to the degree they are today. "Moral decline" is the natural digression of any society, which has substituted its own moral values, for those of which God can only establish within our national character. This decline is in direct proportion to our reliance upon the SELF and the failure to retain God in our knowledge. Most of us are SELF -CENTERED. Violence is surely on the rise and so are STDs they never had 30 years ago (super strains).

Nope. We are all just more informed and more exposed to the world in general, so we know more about the bad things that go on than our predecessors did. Besides, culture naturally fluctuates between liberal times and conservative times, sometimes with bumps along the way.
Money, apathy, religion, sex, greed, fetishes, etc. have been around in every civilization throughout human history, but they were often kept more under wraps.
Though I do see a bit of Rome in us... our armies are stretched thin, we're facing economic decline and some social discontent, but it's nothing we haven't seen before.

I see a frightening decline in the median level of education. The mind-numbing complacency of over-simplified computer use combined with the pervasive ubiquity of mall culture appears to have produced a large level of society simply waiting to see where they are to be led next.

I do not see a moral decline so much as social acceptance of behaviors and attitudes previously kept behind closed doors. We also have more leisure time to pursue every sort of nastiness than was available to our ancestors...

30 years. Between 1977 and 2007 then. The entire span of my life.
Actually America has gotten better about lots of things. Less racism, less homophobia, less sexicism. More open to other religions and non-religious people.
Greed is a biggie though. Sex and fetishes aren't really moral issues, unless you are talking about sexual assualt.

You've got to be kidding!
Don't you remember the 70s? People had no morals then. People were crazy and wild. True life was fun back then, but today people are so much more tame. There are more rules and laws today, and the punishment is pretty severe.
People are smarter today than they've ever been in our history. Thanks to technology, we have a world of information at our fingertips, and the click of a button.

Depends on what your morals are.
If they are based on the Bible and organized religion, then yes.
If they are based on feminism, acceptance of homosexuality as normal, sexual freedom, control over one's own body, and other acts of human equality, then no.

No, it hasn't been the same. It's been waxing worse and worse, and not just in the last 30 years.
