A lot of things in life are taken too much for granted that they have all slipped through the "being defined" process.

For example, religion.

What qualifies something as "religion," instead of "fact," "belief," "argument," "faith," or "theory?"

How would you define religion to either interpret evolution as a "religion", or not as a "religion?"

Rules. A religion has a set of rules that each member is expected to follow to the letter. A belief, I guess, is going by your own instincts and ethics. Right to you is right. And you look at all the angles. Where as the rules are cause=effect. The belief allows for exceptions to the rules.

What you choose to believe. What you choose to follow. You may see it as ordained. I don't eat pork. Some Christians I know don't eat pork and ham. I dress modestly. Not against makeup and hair, a little glamour, a great style. I don't dress really conservatively but don't walk around half-naked most of the time like a stripper. I don't gamble, really, nor do I smoke or use drugs. Not against three glasses of wine at dinner, a couple TC3s when not feeling well, etc. I can accept marijuana use for medical and psychological reasons but nothing else.

Religion is composed of two things -- a set of beliefs, and the practices that derive from them. Evolution cannot be a religion, as there are no associated practices.

I personally feel a relationship with Jesus , and my thoughts are that religion can easiest be defined as relationship tainted with man's own idea's so the Bible more readily conforms with man's own desires , makes him feel less guilty when spiritually he knows he's doing wrong
