I'm currently writing a story about a young woman who goes away 2 college & gets caught up in a whole bunch of crazy events, including a 4bidden romance. My story's heroine is shy, awkward, & wears glasses like Lisa Loeb. However, once her hair's down, the glasses r off, & she's gotten n2 something comfortable, she looks remarkably stunning; a hidden beauty, if u may.
So I'm asking if there's some fascination w/ a shy girl or a wallflower who still happens 2 b beautiful. Is a nerdy girl more alluring or approachable then a more social girl?

yes nerdy girls are the best :) they are honest, loyal, straightforward with there feelings and often have a very good libido, theyare often neglected through highschooll and sometimes collage though :( i know this because my girl is a total nerd :P book club, anime club, computer club she was in it all :)

I guess there might be some fascination in it since the subject seems to have been done already....as seen in the zorro movie scene in the simpsons (anyone remember that episode?)...the spanish version of ugly betty...etc.... So yes. It is the unexpected that helps the beauty in such a character thrive..taking it to a whole new level. ....so it is alluring in a different way...

I think most guys are way more attracted to a "nerdy girl", than girls would be to a "nerdy boy". Think about the allure of the cute, innocent library chick...

For a shy guy, I'd say yes; the social butterflies are often seen as a huge emotional risk.

Me... I like nerdy girls coz they are shy and innocent.
Some nerdy girls are actually very beautiful, they just don't know it. Also they can be very good girlfriends coz they are not materialistic and sincere.
I like this girl who is sort of nerdy and she carries a plastic bag as her handbag. Weird, but kind of cute.

definitely....she's super smart when its about school....she's shy and sweet honest....out of school i think she has romance, dreams like any other girl ...but she has ethics.
