Explain it?
I AM one.
A mood disorder is just that: a disorder involving your moods. Speaking in generalities because the world of psychology is riddled with hypocrisies and socially-affected definitions of 'normal' and 'abnormal,' a mood disorder is any disorder in which a person is deemed to have inappropriate moods to environmental and circumstantial stimuli.
For example, "depression" is a 'mood disorder,' and could be characterized by an inability to find contentment or joy in one's life, even though one might have just won the lottery or received a long-awaited promotion at work.
