Yes, young people are aware, but aware of what Im not sure judging by the answers so far. Once one liberty is taken away, that paves the way for the next liberty to be taken away, and so on and so on. Even though this might appear to be a simple "I dont like what they are wearing." to " I do not want to see the crack of someones ***." Granted that neither of which I wont argue. But the real issue,issue's, are deeper than the candid smokescreen answers provided.
In my day there was the chicago seven, we took matters into the streets here in Chicago. Im not saying this is the answer, but a simple reminder that the government is an all powerful beast that has fangs for teeth and an appitite to match. Cameras on the street corners, metal detectors everywhere, everything is secrecy and no privacy, dis-information, cell phone cameras, hidden cameras, spy cameras, intruders in your computer snatching all they can learn about you and your computer habits, soc. sec. numbers that are tattooed to you since almost birth, like a Gestapo death camp, wars for WOMD that do not exist, listening devices that are the size of a seed, communication bills that have turned over your right to privacy right down the crapper in the name of a cause that does not exist, GPS in our phones, in our cars, in our heads.
This is not just an issue of showing your boxers or the crack of your ***. This is an issue for you, the young, to resolve with the all knowledgable elders who are not telling you what you can and cannot wear, but demanding what you can and cannot wear, with penalties and loss of FREEDOM if you DO NOT CONFORM to THEIR VALUES AND STRUCTURE. Our youths have been pre-programmed by the same generation who fought so hard against government programming. AGAIN this is not just an issue of droopy drawers, look at the whole picture, next it's no thongs, no nude sunbathing, have to wear bra's, etc etc.
It was hell in my day, maybe it is just the lack of concern, or the preoccupation with technological toys, or the complete brainwashing that is in our governments scope has been found to be effective on todays youths. All rights and liberties have started with the simplist of gestures, from refusing to sit in the back of a bus to" I HAD A DREAM "speech. From a tea party in a harbor to the birth of this nation. That is what America was founded on, this is makes America what America is and America's nature to be the home of the free and the freedom to be free. Sit back, relax, leave all this in the hands of our youth, and maybe, just maybe, they will pick up the pieces we have left behind and put things together better than we did...
The only way I can tell if there is still intelligent life on this planet is by walking by a book store and actually seeing someone in there. READING.
PS I dislike droopy drawers as well, but I couldnt , wouldnt vote against it

Civil liberties as the once were do not exist anymore. Under the Patriot Act, Homeland Security and Military Tribunals the government has effectively curtailed almost all of your civil liberties. They can search your home without your permission or you even being at home. You can be arrested and detained with no charges laid or access to a lawyer and you can be legally tortured. All of this if there is even a hint of terrorism. I suggest that you be careful what opinions you express to your neighbours. During the second world war neighbours constantly turned in friends and neighbours just to get even with people they didn't like. They also did it to curry favour with the Gestapo in the hopes that they and their families not be sent to the camps. Pants schmantz that's the least of your problems.

we are totally in a market economy (consumption rather than production) society now. The only civil liberties remaining are obtained by voting, and young people are prohibited from doing so. (In fact, most "liberties" are enjoyed by deviants, who are now a powerful and wealthy voting bloc [really, publicly-funded transexual surgery??!! How much more decadent and disgusting a world can we live in?...]; soon I predict the pedophiles will become an affiliated faction of the gay-rights movement, and their rights will be more valuable than those of child victims). Before all the queers start e-mailing me: get over yourselves (males), you're compulsively tidy and yet you engage in acts that involve fecal matter and the associated smell. I could care less about your opinions or your protests (according to Gaia, you may not reproduce, so consider yourselves part of the Currency Taliban that rules our once-great nation now).
Already colors are banned because of GRV, so more dress codes are sure to happen (and, in fact, have in the past). Pity.

Democrats and Republicans are the identical. Behind near doorways Dems and Reps are continually in contract. To the leisure of the arena, they act like they're in opposition to each and every different. This creates the phantasm there are 2 aspects of ever hindrance. In fact, they're the identical factor. The Central Government, run by means of bureaucratic servants known as Democrats and Republicans, recognize that there's a eleven% approval fee of the federal government by means of the US residents. This is unacceptable to the Dems and Reps. They want away to exhibit there energy. So making a worry surroundings, gets the residents awareness. This will even allow them to painting they're doing whatever for the residents that can not be performed with out the federal government. I't is a pressured realization of energy in all its tyranny. One of the foundations of struggle while going through a much better enemy is to divide and triumph over, alternatively then to assault your enemies drive as a complete. Knowing that residents and there constitutional freedoms/rights are a thee governments finest enemy, making a diversionary tactic equivalent to Republican and Democrat might divide the governments enemies "residents + constitutional freedoms/rights" Once divided, the enemy is some distance less difficult to vanquish. In this example, once we are divided, the Central Government can dispose of freedoms/rights, and enforce tyrannous legislation plenty less difficult than if we had been united. Vote for ANYONE else except Democrats or Republicans. I't can also be someone starting from a 3rd celebration candidate to Mickey Mouse. Just do not vote for Democrats or Republicans. They had been purchased and paid for decades in the past by means of bureaucrats. When Dems or Reps are elected, they serve the pursuits of transnational organizations that paid for them to get elected, now not the residents. I't is the finest appearing out of a "well cop dangerous cop" situation in historical past. Just bear in mind; Ron Paul and The Tea Party are the Republican Party. "I'f your a multi-billion greenback transnational company and also you pay for, one million President + 435 Congressmen + one hundred Senators + nine Supreme Court Justices, then you might have whole energy over 350,000,000+ residents and all there assets." I'f you do not trust any of this, you feel precisely what they wan't you to feel.

Young people do not have the same civili liberties as adults. I think this is a mistake.
I think part of the education of future generations should be in what is civil liberties in growing up, how to resolve erosion of that.
Perhaps there should be ages when various liberties kick in, associated with research into having the maturity to handle things, like we do with
* age of consent
* age for driver license
* age for liquor
* age for military

The clothing isn't banned. Wearing it in a way that approximates gross and open lewdness as already defined in many existing statutes is.
Still, we could have a repeat of the scene in Woody Allen's movie "Bananas" where the newly installed dictator orders everyone to wear their underwear on the outside.

Putting on clothes is not speech, hence not protected as a freedom of it.
Municipalities and states are guaranteed the rights of governance not preserved by the Constitution for the federal government. Since the Constitution does not say anything about how people dress, that would be a right preserved to the states and depending on the state constitution to the county or municipality, including dress codes, speed limits and helmet laws.
Moreover, since minors are not considered to be of legal age to make life decisions, they don't have certain rights and responsibilities that adults have, such as rights to dressing certain ways, or staying up as late as they please. These are responsibilities of decision for their parents and other adults in whose care they are entrusted.

Try again to justify looking like a dork and grossing descent folks out.
If only the women would tell the saggers to screwoff then there wouldn't be any more sagging. It is all the younger women's fault for not saying no to saggers

The challenge is; for people to live as if the potential we are endowed with, is pursued.
I think children exposed to scary and saggy fashion on the mall, the schoolyard or the local park, can only feel no one cares.
There is nothing so rare as 'common sense'. The need to hold your crotch to keep your pants up is beyond a fashion trend, it is a disease symptom.
