I don't want to have to drill a hole in my roof to get the antenna through. Help! I'm kinda a noob on the CB subject.

Roof of what? There are magnet mounts that can be put on a roof and the wire run in a door as the rubber door gasket will not hurt the cable. On some pick-me-up trucks, you can run the cable in the rear window. All roof mounts do require a hole in the roof though. If you use a magnet mount, coat the bottom of the magnet with a liberal amount of Vaseline, both to act as a moisture barrier and to prevent rust to the roof. If it is on a SUV or van, run the wire into the cargo door.

Of course, you should drill a real big hole so it's easy to get it through the roof.
