If "they" gave you a few sheets of blank labels, I can't be of much help. If you have a package, there should be a name and number - example - Avery 5386.
The following link will offer you a lot of help for Word 2007. Please go there and check it out.

*************************************************************
Here is a trick I learned - try it:
Tools
Envelopes and Labels
In the Envelopes and Labels dialog box, click Options
Scroll down to select 5386 Divider (or whichever number you need)
In the blank address box, just type an x
now, click “new document”

you will have a sheet of blank binder labels with an x in them
click Edit
click Replace
In the “find and replace” window, “find” x
Replace with: just click here, don’t type anything
click Replace All
all the x’s will be removed and you will have a blank sheet of labels.

Immediately, File, Save as
Save the file to something like “blank binder labels”

Now when you need a label, or 5 or 10, just type in the appropriate blank label on the sheet, insert the sheet in the printer, and print.

This is a good way not to end up discarding half-used sheets of labels.
