Yes, the pan was heated and oiled before hand, and I used butter so they wouldnt' stick, so they were like the normal yellow color with some brown from the butter.

See, I'm a bit picky about these things, and I like my foods over done sometimes, eggs are one of them.

If it was me, I'd have a little bit of butter to melt, say on 7 or 8.

Then I'd add the egg and drop the heat to 3 or 4, taking care to scrape consistently to scramble them. They'd probably be done in about 5 minutes, depending on the pan - maybe less.

But 6 minutes at high heat? Too much, I think unless you started from scratch (or you had waaaaaayyy too much milk.

You tell eggs by their texture - how "runny" they are or aren't. Get them to where you want them. Totally uncooked, they're liquid (when mixed with milk) so yours were undoubtedly cooked. If they were undercooked or overcooked depends on your temp and how much milk you had.

Don't go by time - go by results/

Did you have any heat for the pan? I would think they'd be dry as anything after 6 minutes unless you made a few dozen!

They probably were.

Were your egg pasturized? If they were don't worry, good eggs or pasturized eggs usually won't make you sick.

6 minutes? What temperature to you cook them at? I usually use medium low that way they cook slow, but I also dislike them dry. Usually if you turn off the heat just after all the liquid evaporates it will continue to cook till perfect.

When you add milk or water to eggs they can stay runny and still be done. Don't worry people eat runny eggs all the time and are just fine.

I don't know. How hot was your pan? What did the eggs *look* like?
