Friend, it is obvious you are premillennial in your viewpoint. Have you ever done any research on the other end time viewpoints? One of the mistakes made by a lot of premillennial folks is that they tend to use the newspaper as their guide for prophetic fulfillment. Our pastor asked us just today- how many of you believe what you read in the press? No one raised their hand. Why do Christians try to interpret the Bible by today's headlines? Another error premillennials make is that they forget to look at past history. Much of the scripture you quoted was true for the early Christians of the first century. Actually, some of the atrocities committed in ancient Rome far outweigh some of the carnage we see today. The difference is, they didn't have a newspaper or TV coverage to inform the whole world. We think there is more now, because information is so readily available to us. The fact is, these kind of things have been going on for 2000 years.
One other note- the a-millenial viewpoint believes we are already in the Tribulation period. Just because we don't see terrible persecution in America, doesn't mean it's not happening elsewhere. Christians are being slaughtered in many Arab nations, they have been terribly persecuted in other countries like China, Russia, and even Germany during WWII. There were actually more Christians who died during the period of the Holocaust than Jews, but no one ever talks about that. We know for a fact that at least 10 million Christians died during that time. That sure sounds like tribulation to me. So, I'm sorry, but I don't agree that the tribulation is coming. I believe it's happening now.

sweetheeb: hitting the nail on the head..

Answer to your question, do you have any idea how "terrible" the times where in say 1809 Napoleonic wars.. how about the plague of the 1500, 1600, 1700.. how about the fall of the roman empire cira 500 ... No one has any idea if and when there is an end time.

The world has been in turmol through out human history.. Never better, Never worse... Now of course we have CNN and the internet so we get to hear about more..

You need to relax.. go to college .. make a life for yourself.. and for God sake dont borrow any money .. cuss dude you're gonna have to pay it back

It's pretty ironic, but here's the message I got when I clicked on your link:

Sorry for your personal tribulations. :-) Seriously, the Tribulation will not begin until the Antichrist is revealed, but contrary to the "Left Behind" hype, Christians will not be raptured until AFTER the Tribulation. Check out the first link below.

People have been expecting the end of the world since Jesus' own time. Everybody who's looking for the end thinks their time is the worst time to have ever lived in.

My advice: Relax. It ain't gonna happen. And even if it were going to, I seem to recall back in my religious days that God was pretty clear in saying that nobody will know the appointed hour.

Why don't you want to hear "No one knows or anything like that"? That is the truth. Have you ever thought that Armageddon don't come because people like you like to always place a time for it? Jesus said, "NO ONE NOT EVEN I KNOW THE DAY OR THE HOUR. ONLY MY FATHER IN HEAVEN KNOWS."
Why don't you put your whole trust in Jesus that He is coming soon and soon will come? Just keep saying everyday what Jesus said:
"Behold I am coming. Yes I am coming."
We say, "Yes Lord Jesus come quickly."
A promise is a promise that can't be broken.
Time is telling and time is coming and that's that!

Well regardless of what you may want to hear or not want to hear, God Himself, in the Person of Jesus Christ, said that NO-ONE would know the time. Therefore, you do not know it. The "signs" you refer to have been noted in every generation since the Apostles. And some people have believed they were living in the end times in every generation since the Apostles. But guess what! Jesus said NO-ONE would know the time, and so far He is right.

Somebody needs to get a job.

Too much free time + a tendency towards paranoia = NT induced psychosis.

That link is evidence of the dangers of circular logic.

This is not healthy and you were created with a mind.

Use it to live your life instead of worrying about bizarre 'maybe what ifs'.

Nope. You don't know, and neither does anyone else. Live each day to its fullest and don't worry about the Tribulation.
