satan. Lucifer was the highest ranking angel before he decided he wanted to take over heaven...God cast him out with 1/3 of the angels who pledged allegiance to Satan.
Satan wants to be God and like God. He tries to copy and destroy all that God does ..........and I do say try......for satan is no match for God.........

Man is Gods only rival, satin made choices according to the Bible that cost him his place in Gods house. Not all of man is God rival just those who choose too, they see God as evolution (what I call the blind luck theory), too much life on this world to be luck, it all has a purpose it all works together and all that shows design of which means there is a designer.

Some refer to Satan as a bit of a rival but he was thrown from heaven once already and since then has gathered unto himself a greater army in hopes of attempting to take over heaven again. Why? He was gods main man till plans for Jesus Christ becoming the middle man between god "our father" and mortal man then taking his new place as his fathers "Jehovah's" right hand man thus the move down the ladder apparently made Satan decide to take 1/3 of the angels in an attempt to take over/rule/command of heaven.

God doesnt have a rival. He uses satan as a tool so that we have the ability to know good and evil. Opposition is how we learn. Satan really only has power that God allows him to yield so that we can continue our progression and our learning.

The rival is Satan. Why is that so strange? Free will. Free choice. You want someone who loves you. Who doesn't only love you because you are tied to the bedpost. It means more that way. Don't you think?

Which God?
The Gods of the Norse, the Romans, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Druids, or the undeclared masses? Even today
there is conflict about the higher authority as some seem to have rewritten even the New Testiment on their own. It certainly does not read the same as when I was a kid. Go ask your grandparents if they are still around.
