So, lemme get this straight....you want to breed your dog because you want her to have puppies??? But you know nothing about breeding?
Is she purebred?
Are both dogs excellent representatives of their breed? Have they proven themselves breed worthy by earning their Championships, or working titles?
Do they both have all of their health clearances for genetic diseases that are prone to that breed?
Do you have money set aside to care for a litter of puppies until they are a minimum of 8 weeks of age?
Are you prepared to be RESPONSIBLE and take back ALL of those puppies for the rest of their lives, should the buyer have to give it up?
Breeding just for the heck of it, just because you want her to have puppies, makes you a backyard breeder...breeding responsibly is expensive and requires knowledge you can't get on the internet.
IF YOU HAVE TO ASK, DON'T BREED!
Anyone else? This one served themselves up on a silver platter for the answers they are about to receive.

If you know nothing about breeding then you shouldn't be doing it. Don't breed them yet because there could be so many complications andyou wouldn't know what to do. So many dogs die because owners didn't know what to do. It's not fair on the dogs. Please DO NOT breed them YET. Atleast learn about breeding and contact vets for advice, and if after that you feel ready for breeding ask experienced breeders for help to get you started.
PLEASE DO NOT BREED YOUR DOGS UNTILL YOU FIND OUT HOW TO DO IT PROPERLY.
THE ONLY ONES THAT WILL SUFFER ARE THE DOGS THAT YOU LOVE.

Wow.. You said it yourself, you know nothing about breeding. Why not at least take a year and learn about breeding before jumping right into it.. You are creating life, you should put more thought into it all than just asking a question on YA.
There is no reason at all to be in a huge hurry to breed a litter.. Take the time to learn first, then do it the right way.. If you go ahead and breed this litter without learning, and doing research... There will be no one here to help you when you have trouble later on.. If you do the right thing and learn and do your research, you will find plenty of help from people here when you show your maturity and your willingness to learn. Don't learn by doing learn from people who have done it, do it right the first time instead of producing a litter of unwanted puppies.
Edit : If you love your dog.. The fact that you are so young, going to school, live at home, have no job or money or anything else... Tells me that your dog if pregnant wouldn't get the best of care medically. Likely mom and dad won't pay for an emergency c-section or anything else that comes up. I have to wonder what a little 13 year old girl is going to feel like when she breeds her dog, dog needs c-section, she can't provide that, and dog and puppies all die. That would be very traumatic for a little girl.. I would think... If she loved her dog anyhow.. I wouldn't want to be that 13 year old girl who killed her own dog thru negligence.. Would haunt you for the rest of your life.

Please don't breed til you do some research. It's a lot hard then putting two dogs together & cute puppies. I have spent $$$$$ , hours of research, & I've lost countless hours of sleep. Why ? To raise the healthiest puppies I can & to meet breed standards. Breeders, need to be responsible. Can you & will you take your puppies back if their families can no longer care for them ? Can you afford the extra vet care (vaccinations, c-sections, ect..) ? Theres a lot to consider, I'm not telling you not to breed but to breed responsibly.

You need to do some research.I see that you're only 13.Do your parents want to breed the dog? You need to take her to the vet first,to have her checked for any defects( hip dysplaysia, eye problems, etc.) her vaccinations should be up to date, and she and should be on heart worm preventative. Also,is she an outstanding example of her breed, both in confirmation and temperament? And the male dogs,is he,and has he been checked over for health problems, that could be passed on to the offspring? Do you have homes for the puppies? Are you prepared for a possible C- section on the mother? Shots and worming for the pups? High-quality food for mom and pups? You need to know all there is to know about your breed of dog ,and care of the mom and pups, and how and when to breed, before you even think about it!
Yeah ,watch the video that Jen T posted the link to.There are a lot more, too.I suggest you watch several.See what happens to thoughtlessly bred dogs and cats.

Why do you want to breed her for? You don't even know how to breed. Why do you want to have puppies from her? Don't just breed her because you want something from her and don't expect the puppies will be like her.

A dog's heat generally lasts 21 days from start to finish. Usually the 10th-15th day is ovulaton for a dog. A dog will do many behaviours when she is ready for breeding. Flagging is the most visual one. Flagging is when you touch the base of the tail she'll put it off to the side presenting her goods so to speak. There is usually only three days a dog is furtile so its best to expose her as much as possible.
Don't pay no mind to the negitive respones. Breeding dogs gets a lot of un-wanted commets. However, they do make some points about breeding responsibly like health test ect. Some people just don't have good manners regardless.

If you want to breed your dog breed your dog don't listen to all them people saying stuff about not doing it. If this is your first time doing it, it will be a lot to worry about. you will be exhausted. All these people say don't do it your not an experienced at it, well neither was the people that are experienced at it now, they were new to it all at one point. So I say this if you want to breed your dog make sure you actually have time to take care of the momma dog and the puppies. and if the mother happens to do some of those things people wrote about its OK its all natural. Just read up on it and think about it, that's all i have to say

You know nothing about breeding yet you are about to do it??????
You have no business even trying at this stage, you are creating yet another litter of pups with no proven soundness etc. What do you intend on doing with the pups once they are born? are you doing this for a quick buck? are you prepared for the fact that it may very well cost you more $$$ than you might make, the mother has to have regular vet checks that costs you money, have you considered complications that may arise? that costs you money, what if vet assistance is required through the labour? what if c section required? that costs you money. and the initial imunization of the pups that costs you money, and feeding them once it is wheening time? that costs you money, if one of the pups sick. that will cost you money.
For what other reason than just because you want to, are you breeding your dog? that is the most selfish and repulsive reason for breeding a dog, and is otherwise refered to as back yard breeding.
