Knives aren't gadgets they're standard equipmernt
I do like like stick blenders
potato ricers
and a grapefruit spoon
Grapefruit spoons are great for removing the insides of things like tomatoes and cucumbers

I don't know where you are but if you think that Sur le Table is great you should really check out The Broadway Panhandler , Bridge Kitchenware and Zabars -all of which are in Manhattan- Zabars has stuff like copper halibut steamers and pate -en -croute molds

I have severe no-willpower syndrome when it comes to new toys for my kitchen.

Sur la Table is my poison. *hangs head* Hello, my name is J and I am addicted to kitchen stores. "Hello J."

I LOVE trussing rubber bands... heatproof to 600 and NO TYING! Bonus: they are reuseable! Love love LOVE them.

Heatproof rubber spoonulas are also a big favorite, I must have 20 of them lying around the kitchen somewhere.

Ooh, and tongs. Can never have too many tongs.

I have a food chopper thingie that I use only for nuts. It keeps the nuts from flying around the kitchen when you're trying to chop them. (I once hit my friend in my eye with a flying filbert.)

And pizza stones! I don't make a lot of pizza but I love using them for cooking, they give a great crisp bottom and you don't have to grease the stone!

I guess that's a little more than one, lol. My kitchen gadgets are my children! I can't pick just one.

Don't know what I'd do without all my gadgets. The one that I'm most pleased with now (if you can call it a gadget is....) the mortar and pestle. Once you learn how to use one and WHY to use it in the first place, your mini food processor will kinda get a little dusty.
Oh, btw, Jamie Oliver is the chef who enlightened me........ (on his cooking show of course).

The microplane...absolutely the best way to zest a lemon, grate Parmesan cheese or grate ginger. A remarkable gadget.

OK as a second one, it's got to be cheap old kitchen tongs...what every Pro cook uses and so few home cooks do.

My Cuisenart Ice Cream Machine - makes a quart of ice cream in 30 minutes without the mess of using crushed ice and rock salt.

Also love my Rachel Ray knife set.

My favorite gadget is my stick blender. I love it. I can use it to blend up soup while it is still cooking or I can use the attachments and make daquiris. I think I got if off QVC and it is called the thunder stick Pro.

I've never tried a George Foremen Girl. What she look like? Can she boil water. Mine can't.
I like my Magic Bullet mixer. I make frozen drink for everyone in minutes.
