Why can't WE save Ourselves with our own good deeds and Love for God ?

Because God gave us a freewill. Man chose to sin and separate ourselves from God. We are lost in our sins and unable to break free because we have allowed Satan to be our Lord and Master. But God loved us so much that He made a way for us to be redeemed. There is only one way to God and that is through His Son. If we could be good enough, then Jesus died for nothing. the only thing that can save us is having God, Himself living in us. Only by His Spirit can we be counted good enough and there is only one way to guarantee this event and the Bible, God's Word tells us how we can accomplish this amazing procedure.

what sin has done is separate us from God. Tell me, how would you fix that. Call me. Oh wait you can't, you don't know how. Jesus came to die for our sins. Why? Because that is your, my , and every ones punishment. OK, so you could do that. But , because you are not God you cannot come back from that. Only God has the power to beat death in such a way. Jesus took your punishment because you can't, if you are to be with him. Out of pure love he took it for you. Lets face it. This is way more than giving a kidney and yet we call those people a hero.
As an added thought. We will keep Christmas gifts that we don't even like. So, why do so many people return the gift of life. A gift from our God. A gift of love.

We can't save ourselves because each one of us has broken God's law during our life time and so we all have to stand before the Judge and give an account of what we did while living on his planet.

If you lived a life characterized by good deeds but you broke a law and got arrested, the judge can't say "Oh well, all of the time you were not breaking the law makes up for this time when you DID break the law".

No, the judge has sworn an oath to uphold the law and he or she has to impose whatever penalty the law demands on the guilty party.

God has sworn that the penalty for sin is death. That doesn't just mean physical death, but spiritual death and eternal separation from God. But in his love, God has made a way for us to have our sin debt paid by Jesus for all who by faith will accept that gift.

It's like if you were in front of a judge and he told you that you either had to pay a 10 million dollar fine or go to the electric chair and the judge's son took pity on you and offered to pay your fine. If you didn't believe him then you would end up in the electric chair because you didn't have the money to pay the fine. But if by faith you took him up on his offer then you would go free.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hi, thanks for asking.

The answer, I believe, is that we have no righteousness to stand on before God. None of us are perfect, and so none of us can come to God with our imperfection. Although we may do good things from time to time, we can't satisfy the penalty for sin (death). Christ saves us from God's wrath against sin, because He took the punishment upon Himself. Good deeds can't save us, because our righteousness 'is as filthy rags'. Only Christ lived a perfect human life, died to atone for our sins, and today intercedes for us...

May God bless you.

When you believe in Him and trust in Him for your every need, then He knows that you really love Him, but when you can save yourself, then you really don't need Him and you wouldn't be loyal to Him. You would walk off and do your own thing, be honest. And God knows that, He is looking for a relationship with us and in every relationship , it will not work for long , if one person is selfish.

God put us here to walk by faith not by sight. We as humans cannot save ourselves, therefore we need God, or Jesus in this case, to save us.

Because we're separated from God it is very easy for the Devil and his followers to tempt man, therefore without the presence of God and without being able to see Him, we sin...and because we sin which is a big no-no to God, Jesus came for us so that we may ask, at any time, for forgiveness and if we truly are sorry it shall be given us.

Nobody is that good. The bible says that anyone who says he is without sin is lying. "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Jesus paid the price for all our sins when He died on the cross.

It is so easy to have peace in our lives through Jesus. Not complicated at all. Why not trust Him?

well if you were all powerful and stuff, wouldnt you want something to do? i mean i would be bored crazy being by myself. He gave us Christ to give us a chance to be with Him after Adam and Eve messed up.

if you love God, i dont see why you cant love Jesus. he came here to save you and you are thinking of why cant you save yourself? the only way to save yourself is to be absolutely sinless and we've all broken that many many times.

Eph 2:8-10
"By grace you have been saved though faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any one should boast".

we all have a purpose and you choose the pathways of your life....
