You are born two ways, both physically and spiritually. When you accept Christ as your Savior and acknowledge His death and resurrection on the cross, you are now part of God's kingdom. This means you are "born again". Read John 3 for further information.

When Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again he was speaking of being "born again" as in Luke 11:24-26 as was the rich man in the story of Lazarus. He thought he was doing everything according to Moses, but Moses lied to the rich man
We are baptized with water, because we believe in the Words of Jesus, over all others, including Moses, the prophets, Peter and Paul. "Repent and believe the Gospel"

Being "born again" or "born from above" refers to the spiritual regeneration that occurs when the Spirit of God indwells a believer.
John 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."
John 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.
John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

To be born again is cast off a life of sin and shame and be cleansed with the blood of Jesus. Using the following methodology; repent of your sins be baptised in the name of Jesus and recieve the Holy Ghost in your heart with the evidence of talking in a language (tounges) you don't even know. As prescribed in the book of Acts 2:38.

I have always found that phrase as abusive to mothers. Imagine having to go through labor twice for the same child!

This is a phrase that Jesus used. This is when God removes our spirit and replaces it with His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, God Himself. After God enters our Body, He becomes one with our body and soul. Our behaviors change because our desires begin to change. Please write me is you have any questions or want to become a "Born Again" Believer.

I tell everyone. after I was divorced in 2002, I was born again. Its like I could breathe and smile and felt free from the worst oppression I had ever felt in my entire life. He was like a ton of weight over me, a dark cloud, a burden, a mistake.
Thank you Lord for saving me. I prayed, you answered my prayers and I am free!!!!

I think these people really believe they are now a clean slate and pure as snow. I interpret it to mean, "not taking any responsibility for my past"!!

Jesus said 3 times in john 3 we must be born again if we are to enter into His Kingdom. He said emphatically in vs 5, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he CANNOT enter into the kingdom of God."
Jesus knew that people understood how to be born of water ... baptism. however, they didn't understand about how to be born of the Spirit. Jesus explained it to nicodemus, comparing His Spirit to the wind. (john 3)
Peter also tells us how to be saved .... it coincides w/ what Jesus said regarding the new birth of water & of Spirit.
when Peter gave his 1st sermon on the day of Pentecost,
he was asked "what must we do to be saved"???
peter's message parallels that of Jesus when he said ...
"Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
this is the plan of redemption that Jesus authored at Calvary.
it is how we obey Jesus' death, burial & resurrection.
it is the new birth.
specifically we partake of the new birth, or we are being born again when we OBEY THE GOSPEL ...
HOW do we obey it???
to OBEY Jesus' DEATH ...... we REPENT.
repentance means we "die to ourselves" ...
it is more than just asking forgiveness of sin.
it is turning away from the life of sin & turning toward God ... living for Him
to OBEY Jesus' BURIAL ...... we are baptized by immersion "in Jesus' Name"....
not "in the father, son & Holy Spirit" ...
these are titles, not a name.
there is no power to forgive sin in a title.
Jesus' blood signified by HIS NAME is the only name that covers (remits) your sins...
you must be baptized w/ His NAME spoken as you are immersed in the water (symbolic for His blood).
only apostolic churches baptize "in Jesus Name".
they baptize just like the apostles did ... (hence the name, apostolic).
to OBEY Jesus' RESURRECTION..... we receive the baptism or the infilling of the Holy Spirit w/ the evidence of speaking in another language as God's Spirit gives you the ability.
the infilling is NOT automatic at baptism ... & like Jesus said, it IS NECESSARY for salvation.
please don't listen to those who base salvation on belief only... just asking Jesus into your heart ... that is only the beginning.
BELIEVING ONLY is NOT ENOUGH for salvation.
scripture says the devil believes.... is he saved???
no. why not, if he believes???
b/c he has not OBEYED the Gospel.
the history book of the church (the book of acts) tells how the apostles preached the new birth & to obtain it.
for further reference, read acts 2, 8, 10, 19.
denominal churches today have twisted the new birth process. belief only is NOT enough. we are to obey the Gospel (Jesus' death, burial & resurrection ) just like the apostles taught in the book of acts.
you can't believe the Bible is true & yet not believe in the new birth as spelled out in the book of Acts.
10,000 people were saved in the book of acts by obeying the new birth.
