from the time that Saul met Jesus on the road to Damascus, he became a new creation in Christ. he was no longer Saul,
when we truly meet Jesus we are no longer the same, we are new creations in Christ, and while we might have to fight with the old self, just a Paul did, we start walking in His path not our own.

The apostle Paul had a unique perspective on the teachings of Jesus. He was taught personally by the risen Christ in the desert of Arabia for three years. He did not meet the other apostles for 14 years later, yet after much discussion, they all agreed that Paul was 'one of them'.
Paul was also the most educated of all the apostles and had access to more of the 'scrolls and reserarch material' than the others. Even Peter said that some of Paul's writings were hard to understand...and they knew him. Paul's understanding of the 'new man' (or inner man)is very deep and exciting stuff.
In his letter to the Church in Corinth (1 Corinthians 15), Paul explains what really happens at physical death.
After the discovery of DNA, we now know that God's plan is for ALL creation to be reconciled to Him. There is physical DNA and spiritual DNA... what's born of flesh is flesh, what is born of spirit is spirit. To the caterpillar it's the end, to the butterfly it's the beginning. God loves us and there's not a darn thing we can do about it.

The mystery (secret) is revealed in Colossians 1: 27. It is a mystery which God allowed Paul to teach us:
"To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory."
So it's letting Christ (by the Holy Spirit) live through us. This idea is also brought out in Galatians 2:20:
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me."
Also, Paul started out his Christian walk with, "Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?" (Acts 9:6) If we pray this way, we can be led by the Holy Spirit and if we walk by the Holy Spirit, we will not fulfill the desires of the old nature, but will have the fruit of the Spirit.

I can't remember the scripture completely but it is in 1 John 0r 2 John. It talks about that if our hearts condenm us that God is greater than our hearts. Basically, no matter what you have done in your life the love of God is greater than whatever sins you may have committed. The evidence that we are free from a guilty conscience is "peace". Rom 5:1 says, Therefore, being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. So, his secret was that he understood that God could not lie regarding the forgiveness of sins, but a man still has to reap what he sows. If you look at Paul's life, alot of persecution which he put believers through, he also experienced himself even up to his execution.

No, the mystery was also revealed to John the beloved and he wrote what he was allowed to tell about it in the book of Revelation. Abraham was also allowed to see the "mystery" before he died his fleshly death. A few of the apostles were allowed a glimpse of the "mystery" before Jesus actually died on the cross and was resurected. These are the instances I remember off the top of my head, and there very well could be more. In all cases, these men were not allowed to tell all of what they had seen. That is why it remains a mystery.

St. Paul wrote that we are to walk in love, and also walk in the Spirit. That's the secret. Treat everyone with love; love is the fulfillment of the law. In doing so, you will find yourself sinning less, and when you treat your *own* self with love, you will no longer condemn yourself.

Pauls sin was commited ignorantly
1Ti 1:11 "According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
1Ti 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
1Ti 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because (I did it ignorantly) in unbelief."
Scriptures provided for those who sin ignorantly.
Num 15:27 "And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.
Num 15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.
Num 15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them."
Scriptures provided for those who sin willfully.
Num 15:30 "But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
Num 15:31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him."
Luk 7:47 "Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."

he pressed on and his goal was to "finish the race' or do what God told him to do. He also said he beat his body into submission lest "after he preached' he should "become a castaway". He did obviously struggle with temptations.

What a beautiful state of mind to dwell in.
Rom 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
