both of my sister-in-laws just recently ran off & got married at the courthous. They did not invite their only brother. He's dealing with it pretty well, but I think it's pretty crappy of them both - they helped put them both through college. My in-laws are a weird bunch anyway, sigh...

I would send him or her a card and a gift.
There are many reasons someone would not invite a best friend to his wedding.

I would accept that it is a very personal choice how you do your wedding, and that being someones best friend does not automatically give me access to all the private areas of their life. I'd respect the choice they made and send them a nice card and gift.

You are a female with a male best friend. It's possible that the bride vetoed the idea of you coming to their wedding. She may feel that *she's* supposed to be his best friend, not you. There could have been other reasons, but that's my best guess.

Happened, was a little taken a back because he told me everything, then the next minute he's married, and on my birthday, he's married. I'd just be happy for him, there may be a reason for your not invited

omiigod! well, i'd probably want to talk to him first, but make sure it does NOT sound like your blaming him for not inviting you (even though you secretly think it is). Replay all the things you've done and make sure you havent done anything to offend him. maybe if you can, you two should talk it out...

If my best friend married, and didn't invite me, I would talk to her. I would assume SOMETHING was wrong, and I would definitely want to get it out into the open.
Good luck!

Wonder if we're in good standing or not. Have you done anything to make him mad? Have you bad-mouthed his fiance or disrespected any one? Are they having a small affair and simply can't afford to have a lot of people? If he's your best friend you should ask.

I wouldn't go, I wouldn't ask, I wouldn't buy him/her a gift, and I'd cross them off my Christmas Card list and move on. This is NOT a friend, sweetie. Hold up your head and do not ask why. You'd just get some lame excuse anyway. Spend the money you would spend on a gift for something for yourself.
